the numbers are lower because the finals have the New York market taken out since neither SV or SN were shown there due to the NFL game. They got hit three weeks in a row in different markets for local affiliates running the local NFL broadcast, but still pulled in decent numbers for the CW despite missing the viewers from entire markets.

It lowered the SUPERNATURAL numbers too but it was still enough for it to finish 4th. All this despite the fact that the CW treats the Thursday Night Lineup like the plague in terms of promotion.

The overnights are not the final numbers, and measured those watching the New York Jets/New England Patriots game in the New York market, where the game aired on the local affiliate. The number above is the correct number, stripped of the football viewing. its down vs. prior weeks because due to this it didn't air in New York until a different day and that viewing wasn't counted in the numbers.

According to the overnight report and other websites(kryptonsite, wikipedia). All three had smallville rated at 4.38 million viewers... not this absurd 3.556...!! smallville is the only reason cw is still a network
