"NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" is the No. 1 Network Evening Newscast

NBC BROADCAST NUMBER ONE IN TOTAL VIEWERS, HOMES AND A25-54
NEW YORK - December 3, 2007 - According to Nielsen Media Research data, "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" was the most-watched network evening newscast, winning the week of November 24-30, 2008. During the week, the Williams-led newscast averaged a whopping 9.833 million total viewers, an impressive +1,258,000 more than ABC "World News'" 8.575 million, and +3.095 million more than CBS "Evening News'" 6.738 million. The week marked "Nightly's" best total viewer delivery since the week of November 19, 2007. (Thanksgiving week), and its best total viewer advantage over ABC since the week of August 18, 2008 (Beijing Olympics). On Friday, the day after "Thanksgiving," "Nightly" delivered 10.954 million total viewers, the best single day delivery since November 23, 2007. Season-to-date, "Nightly" leads "World News" by +282,000 viewers. 

Among the key demographic adults 25-54, "Nightly News" won posting a 2.4 rating, ahead of ABC's 2.0 rating. CBS followed with a 1.6 rating. The week saw its best advantage over ABC since August 18, 2008 with +432,000 viewers. Season-to-date, Nightly leads World News by +85,000 A25-54 viewers. 

In homes, "Nightly News" also placed first with a 6.3 rating and a 12 share. In second place ABC drew a 5.7/11, and CBS posted a 4.5/8. 

On its digital platforms, "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" continued its strong performance with more than 4 million online streams for the week ending November 29, 2008.
