Confusion Cleared Up Over Reaper's Spot In CW Winter Lineup

Categories: '

Update: Our friend at the CW confirms that Reaper will be going into the schedule Tuesday at 9. Confusion over.

In contrast the the thrfeed.com report that Reaper would take Privileged's 9pm Tuesday slot beginning in March (also on ew.com), TVWeek is reporting that Reaper will take Supernatural's Thursday 9pm slot.

As for Thursdays, “Smallville” and “Supernatural” return with original episodes on Jan. 15. Starting March 17, “Supernatural” takes a break and is replaced by “Reaper.” Friday comedies “Everybody Hates Chris” and “The Game” begin their winter seasons Jan. 9.

Not sure who's correct at this point, I will email our contact at CW directly.

  1. Paul

Reaper makes more sense following smallville.

  2. Accuracy scoreboard:

    Hibberd 1, TV Week 0

that’s sort of like beating your former team (Hibberd used to write the ratings columns for TV Week).

Paul, not that there is a great fit w/any show on the CW, of all its shows, the best fit seems to be *with* Supernatural.

  3. Paul

I think 90210 will continue to bleed viewers, at first i liked it but the novelty is wearing off, blah blah boring storylines, the acting isn’t much better.

Reaper season 1 was great, but Chuck beat it in best new show of 2007, it looks like chuck will be renewed again:D

Btw there is someone else using Paul username:O i will upload a picture incase the other Paul gets a bad reputation lol.

  4. It should have been real easy to know that TVWeek was wrong. March 17th is not a Friday.

I think CW is going to keep Reaper around if the Smallville all refuse to come back, and then pair it with Supernatural. If Smallville returns, Reaper is gone. (Unless it does some astounding numbers, that is.)

  5. Starting March 17, “Supernatural” takes a break and is replaced by “Reaper.”

…it’s not a Thursday either (the night Supernatural airs), and it is a Tuesday, though that doesn’t mean Supernatural isn’t taking a break. we await the mid-season schedule press release from the CW, which should be out later today.

  6. Right, I meant Thursday. :D
