During the week of December 1, 2008, ABC Family generated its largest weekly Prime audiences on record in Adults 18-34 (600,000), Adults 18-49 (1.23 million) and Viewers 12-34 (957,000), powered by all-time high opening week numbers for the net's 11th annual "25 Days of Christmas" event.  In Total Viewers (2.59 million), this week ranked as the net's third-most-watched week ever (behind 12/3/07 and 12/4/06), making ABC Family's No. 2 cable network in Prime.

  • Versus all cable, ABC Family ranked a strong No. 2 for the week in Prime in Adults 18-49 (1.23 million) and Viewers 12-34 (957,000), and finished No. 1 in Females 12-34 (563,000).
  • ABC Family was home to 2 of the week's Top 3 cable movies in Adults 18-49 with Sunday's airing of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (1.87 million, 7:30 - 11:00 p.m.) and Monday's showing of "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (1.83 million, 8:00 - 10:30 p.m.).
  • Sunday's "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (7:30 - 11:00 p.m.) ranked No. 1 in its time period versus all cable in Adults 18-34 (844,000), Women 18-34 (483,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.44 million) and Females 12-34 (849,000).

25 Days of Christmas 08 (Monday-Sunday, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.)

Featuring a bevy of A-List theatricals like "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Polar Express," "Cars" and films from the Harry Potter franchise, "25 Days of Christmas 08" is off to the campaign's strongest start on record across several target demos, including Adults 18-34 (615,000), Adults 18-49 (1.26 million) and Viewers 12-34 (978,000), driving ABC Family to record or near-record Prime deliveries for the week.

  • Over the first seven nights, ABC Family was cable's No. 1 network in the daypart in Women 18-34 (373,000) and Females 12-34 (593,000), and No. 2 in Adults 18-49 (1.26 million), Women 18-49 (741,000) and Viewers 12-34 (978,000).
  • Compared to the first week in 2007, "25 Days of Christmas 08" out-delivers by impressive double-digit percentages, up by 15% in Total Viewers (2.75 million vs. 2.39 million), by 37% in Adults 18-34 (615,000 vs. 449,000), by 22% in Adults 18-49 (1.26 million vs. 1.03 million) and by 38% in Viewers 12-34 (978,000 vs. 711,000).
