@Throw a Shoe, I didn’t forget, I said “minus Sunday Night Football” and that’s only three hours unless you’re suggesting you would like to see Chuck at 7pm Sundays. I would prefer not to see Chuck air on Sundays or as a mid-season show as it would likely mean only 13ish episodes a year.

But I honestly think that the 8pm time-slot on Monday is just too crowded. Too many show appeal to the same demos. College crowd: BBT, HIMYM, Gossip Girl while T:SSC and MNF: male audience. Maybe I’m wrong.

Next fall, minus Sunday Night Football and Jay Leno, NBC will only have eight hour long slots unless you would prefer to see the show on Fridays or Saturdays. There are only seven other slots it could be put in.

Edit: six really, NBC won’t be screwing with Thursdays at 9pm.

Another thing to look at is which show has a potential to grow. Heroes will not gain any new audience due to serialized nature of the show and a bad stigma attached to the show (thank you EW!).

Chuck, on the other hand, is an accessible show and is a fav among the critics. It just need a new time-slot. Hopefully, the Super-Bowl-fueled 3D episode will give Chuck a boost.

When I took part of the poll, I chose the shows that are weak in the lineup.

I did vote for Chuck not because I hated the show but becuase of its ratings. Who know it might make it.

I do agree that Biggest Loser could be reduced to an hour and I did not vote for the show because of that.

I did vote for KR based on the ratings and people are losing intrest in this show. Sad it did have pontincal but the writers threw it away almost from the start.

Okay that was a bit harsh, but really. Cancelling the office is the last thing that’s going to happen.

The Office is NBC’s worst show ever. I don’t understand why people think it’s funny?

I guess NBC is hoping The Office becomes the next “Seinfeld” or “Friends” with the Super-Bowl boost.

The original L&O goes to mid-season or goes to USA network.

Life is pretty much doomed (unless a miracle happens). The only way it stays alive is on USA network.

Chuck stays but in new time-slot. Chuck is a favorite among the critics and most importantly NBC.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you’re in the minority regarding Chuck.

Chuck gets good reviews across the boards from the critics. Time magazine named Chuck one the top 10 best TV shows of 2008.

Chuck may not be the most sophisticated show on TV, but it is not meant to be. Chuck is just a fun show. Chuck is “Get Smart” for a “24″ world.

Chuck, on the other hand, needs to move away from its cluttered time-slot. Way too many shows competing for the demos: BBT, HIMYM, MNF, Gossip Girl, Terminator.

-Knight Rider and Kath & Kim are gone.
-Life either get canceled or moves to USA.
-L&O comes back mid-season or moves to USA.
-Deal or No Deal stays in syndication and may air special shows on NBC.
-MNIE gets a shorten season to get episode count to 100 for syndication.
-The Office, 30 Rock, L&O:SVU, Biggest Loser, and Chuck comes back for full seasons.

Knight Rider: Too expensive and too poor; and Ford isn’t in any position to sponsor anything.

Kath & Kim & My Name is Earl: I love their casts, but MNIE is running out of steam and K&K never had any to begin with.

Mystery shows not L&O and not on CBS always suffer, such as the charming “Pushing Daisies” on ABC. Life will most likely get the axe for that reason. The L&O franchise will probably get their own network, either on MYN of Cable (where it was once known as TNT), or be filler in case NBC runs out of money to produce new shows.

Shows like Biggest Loser and Deal or No Deal will always have a place somewhere in the year on NBC.

30 Rock & the Office are NBC’s darling award-winners; low cost, in-house, and the Golden Globes are coming up

Heroes & Chuck are the risky fishes. They have lots of special effects, have a dwindling audience, and (honestly) appeal to a niche crowd. Granted, I am a RABID member of said crowd , I really WANT them to stay, but they might be replaced by DoND or TRUMP GIVES US MONEY or some other budget-drivel.

I can’t forsee how many more seasons NBC will keep MEDIUM, or how far their two new action shows will pan.

If I had to guess, this is one way NBC could break down (shows nor airing in said order):
Monday:
Chuck/Heroes & something new (a reality show)

Tuesday:
Heroes/Chuck & something new (a reality show)

Wednesday:
New scripted drama/L&O & reality show

Thursday:
Comedy house & reality show

Friday:
L&O/returning programing (FNL, Medium, etc.)… and reality show (such as HOWIE DO IT — I DUNNO!)

Saturday:
Anything NBC wants to burn off, reruns, more reality.

Sunday:
After football, Dateline followed by L&O/returning programming (FNL, Medium, etc.) and then a new show to end the night

Chuck needs to move to Weds 8pm or Thursday 8pm. Chuck is just too good of a show to let it go. HIMYM was on the fence of cancellation its first three seasons and has finally become a hit (maybe some thanks to Forgetting Sarah Marshall).

NBC needs to stick with Chuck and let it find its audience.

Ive never liked Jay Leno and this is just another strike against him in my book. Congratulations ABC or CBS…one of you get my viewership at 10/9c next fall every night by default.
