After 11 weeks of the 2008-9 season through December 7, 2008, CBS continues to hold the largest season to date average audience with 11.36 million viewers, more than a million average viewer ahead of ABC with 10.18 million. CBS also has the most average adults 25-54 with 4.92 million, again followed by ABC with 4.55 million.
In the advertising prized 18-49 demo, ABC is maintaining the tiniest of leads over CBS with 4.04 million vs. 4.02 million, followed by Fox with 3.74 million and NBC with 3.62 million. At this point in the season, the differences in the key 18-49 demo are quite small among the top 4, that's likely to begin shifting after NBC's Sunday Night Football ends (although it will get a giant boost from the Super Bowl) and Fox gains American Idol and 24 in early 2009.
Fox holds the highest average (1.77 million) for adults 18-34 followed by ABC with 1.65 million and NBC right behind with 1.64 million.
