We think we may have a new complete source for DVR numbers, but we don't have them yet, so to tide you over here is a graphic of the top 10 most viewed shows in DVR playback among 18-49 year olds for the week of 12/8-14 via a Fox press release. Please keep in mind that typically we measured the entire DVR viewing audience of people aged two and above, and these numbers are only for 18-49 year olds:
For reference, here are the top 20 shows for adults 18-49 in the same week for Live+SD viewing.
Definitions:
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day(Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Good for “House”!
Isn’t that bad for Heroes if 40-45% of its 18-49 is DVR, seeing as DVR does little for advertisers? Or is this only have a percentage of this DVR 18-49 added to the presented 18-49?
Wow that bad grammar
well the 18-49 data that’s everywhere else on the site is Live+SD and this is live+7. some of the data above is already in the live+SD numbers (probably at least 50%). What really matters is the C+3 data, which we don’t see. Generally speaking, the DVR is not a friend to advertising…
Curious –
What is the top 20 DVR add backs by % increase?
Norsu, sadly all the DVR viewing data we currently have is above.
Yay, the return of Live + 7 DVR numbers! Thank you!
Wait a minute, “among 18-49 year olds”?
demonhog, indeed it is not what we had before, but based on communication this week I am reasonably hopeful we can get back to what we had before in a short while.
