I have to thank the silly quotations around Julia’s name for a revisit to one of my favorite blog, the unbelievabley wonderful unnecessary quotes blog — and, thanks to stream-of-consciousness living, the divine passive aggressive notes blog recently also mentioned by Andrew Sullivan over at the Atlantic.

Well, I can’t say that I have appreciated the “Julia” commentary as ‘on the mark’ – though all sentiment is welcome here and to each his own, bravo “Julia”. I sincerely hope TVBYTHENUMBERS gets their just deserts.

My favorite interchange here in the comment swamp is about the unnecessary quotes around “Julia”‘s name. I am an inverterate fan of the Unnecessary Quotations blog, and this post title is well within the zone.

My next-favorite thread is about whether Julia is fair to Lost, a fan or not.

Then, in 3rd place are the posts about how much she has contributed to this blog and the worth of her contributions to the organization.

To answer Robert Seidman’s post “If she irritates you so much that you feel motivated to comment about her attitude in the comments rather than keep it to yourself on a “warm welcome’ post — she’s perfect.” I actually have been keeping my comments to myself about her since finding this site. I figured that she was just annoying to me as to other people and there’s little reason to point it out and start a fight. As Tony posted above, besides the multiple (and many times unnecessary) posts, Julia’s comments didn’t stand out, except for the grating nature of them.

And with this post, I expect I’ll probably be banished (and yes, my grammar was purposely wrong… noodle on that, Jove Kid).

I agree with Abigail: This shows “can-do spirit.”

But in the spirit of editorial vigilance, may I ask: What’s up with the quotation marks around Julia’s name in the title here? To my eyes, it doesn’t make sense unless it’s a fake name — in which case, I don’t know why you’d want to draw attention to that. Maybe you wanted to put her name in bold instead?

The sign of a great organization is the recognition of its flaws and the enthusiasm to address them. Bravo!

I know a few other TV-internet blogs I follow that could use a dose of the same can-do spirit when it comes to improving their editing. The smartest people make mistakes, but people who have good editors get the lion’s share of the respect!

So, please give me grief me when I slip and FAIL over at our blog
