Univision #1 Network in America In Overall Prime On Two Nights Among Adults 18-34

NTI Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 12/29/08

Univision was the #1 network in America in overall prime on Monday (1.3 million) and Tuesday (1.2 million) nights among all Adults 18-34, regardless of language.

Univision’s “Fuego en la Sangre” (Burning for Revenge) was the #1 primetime program on Monday and Tuesday night among Adults 18-34. Additionally, Univision had the Top 2 prime programs on Tuesday night.

Univision had 6 of the Top 30 primetime programs of the week among Adults 18-34.

Univision was the #4 primetime network in the country for the entire week among Adults 18-34 (986,000), beating CBS by +20%.

Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34 and on 4 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49.

Among all Adults 18-34, Univision ranked #1, #2 or #3 on 6 nights (Monday-Saturday) out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX in primetime last week.

Univision’s primetime deliveries garnered the network the #3 position on Monday (2.4 million) and ranked #4 on Tuesday (2.3 million), Friday (2.2 million) and Saturday (1.3 million) nights among all Adults 18-49.

Univision was the #2 ranked network in the M-F/8-9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million) and ranked #3 among Teens 12-17 (248,000), thanks to “Cuidado Con El Angel” (Don’t mess with the Angel) and various Holiday specials.

Univision was the #2 ranked network in the M-F/9-10pm time period among Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Teens 12-17 (283,000), thanks to “Fuego en la Sangre” (Burning for Revenge) and various New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day specials.

“Sabado Gigante” helped Univision rank #3 in the Saturday 8-11pm time period among Adults 18-34 (723,000) and Kids 2-11 (366,000).

Univision was the #5 network in the country for the entire week in overall prime among all Adults 18-49 (1.8 million), Persons 2+ (3.5 million), Teens 12-17(219,000) and Households (2.0 million).

Univision delivered +141% more Teens 12-17 than the CW in overall prime the first week of 2009.

For the 4th consecutive week, Univision captured the #1 network ranking in primetime among Kids 2-11 (545,000).

    They must be doing something right. Maybe the other networks should start copying them!

    When are they going to have some good family programming? Something decent and fun that my familia can watch together? I for one am tired of the same old thing.

    Probably never. I hate to be a pessimist, but it seems like every family program that starts out well these days ends up doing a nose dive in the end.
