This week I've included some random shows outside of the top twenty below the top twenty list. While those shows are sorted by viewers, they are not ranked (hundreds of airings shows that fared as well as the shows listed were not included). For Damages fans who would chime in with "But, that doesn't count the additional airings!", I included all of the additional airings of the Wednesday season two premiere as well as a rerun on Sunday.
Someone asked me about Armageddon Week on the History channel, and while for whatever reasons the airings were not "named" in the data list, I included the airings. Unfortunately Nielsen doesn't run on a regular Sunday-Saturday week, instead opting for Monday-Sunday, so the Nostradamus portion of Armageddon week is in last week's cable rankings.
I picked the shows mostly randomly save for Stargate Atlantis, and Damages. Ok, ESPN's Pardon The Interruption and Around the Horn weren't random either, but they're perhaps my two favorite shows on television, and were off the air for nearly two weeks during the holidays.
Update: my bad for not including The Real World season XXI! The Brooklyn installment bowed to 2.261 million on Wednesday at 10pm. The Real World "After Show" at 11pm drew 1.71 million making for the two most-watched programs on MTV all week. The Hills offshoot, The City was #3 for MTV for the week with a mere 1.298 million.

Could you include the Bones episodes airing on TNT next week? I am very interested to see how Bones is doing.
james, like NCIS, Bones airs several times, so I probably won’t get into the practice of including it. Last week its most-viewed airing was Tuesday at 11p which averaged 1.792 million.
Any numbers for ECW?
1.679 million for ECW Tuesday at 9p.
Nip/Tuck got 3.1 and still is cancelled meanwhile damages got 1.7 on primetime. Well done FX
Hurray for “Monk”! There’s life in the old show yet.
(I know it’s ending this summer, but I’d like to see it go out on a high note.) Nice to see the good numbers for “Psych,” too.
What about real world brooklyn? MTV seems very happy with the numbers, yet they didn’t break the top 20.
jack, it is kind of a pain to change the data table, but I updated the text of the post w/the following:
Update: my bad for not including The Real World season XXI! The Brooklyn installment bowed to 2.261 million on Wednesday at 10pm. The Real World “After Show” at 11pm drew 1.71 million making for the two most-watched programs on MTV all week. The Hills offshoot, The City was #3 for MTV for the week with a mere 1.298 million.
That is what I was looking for. Thanks Robert.
Do you know what the demo breakdown is for Leverage? With it’s season half over now and rating hovering around the 3 mil for Live + SD. I was wondering if it seems to be enought to convince TNT to greenlight a Season 2 of the series or is it still to soon to call it?
ravenu. i wish i did, but i don’t.
I could only find 18-49 demos for the latest episode of Leverage (from TravisYanan via pifeedback.com)
Jan 6– 0.9/2
The premeier of Nip/Tuck got a 1.8
Whoooa… am I reading this wrong, or just plain stupid, but did you say that That’s So Raven gets 2 million viewers at the 12 am slot on Saturday? o_O And Family Matters gets nearly the same… I didn’t think reruns at midnight could really get THAT many viewers…
Rachel, your eyes don’t deceive you. That’s the very reason I posted it.it’s not lost on me that 100 SpongeBobs will best the season premiere of Damages or the series finale of Stargate Atlantis, but It’s So Raven at midnight on a Saturday? Wow.
Dang, that IS impressive! Raven is my fav Disney show, so that’s cool to see how well its reruns are doing at such an odd time.
I can relate to you with PTI and Around the Horn, they are two of my favorite shows, even though I have been avoiding them the last few days after the Giants collapsed on Sunday against the Eagles. Would love to the ratings for that game!
Maybe DVRs are watching these odd times to run up the viewer numbers. I know I schedule programs that have repeats to record off prime time to free up my tuners to get shows only available in primetime. I have 8 DVRs yet still have to be smart scheduling my programs.
Robert and Bill, Allen’s statement brings up a question for me… I know Same Day DVR viewing goes until 3 am but when does it start? If someone records a show at 1am, do they have until 3am the next morning (26 hours) to watch it to be included with Same Day DVR? Or does the Nielsen “day” goes from 3am to 3am so they would have to watch it in the next two hours?
Holly, my understanding is that Live+SD measures viewing until 3am following the broadcast date. So 1am shows would have until 3am the following day to be viewed. Obviously, that’s not an issue for broadcast primetime, only for cable and late night broadcast shows.
Apropos Robot Chicken and Adult Swim, I can’t believe what they run now after the Chicken gets the the ratings Aqua Teen and Morel Orel got. That stupid Superjail is nothing but stylized butchery, and Squidbillies is low-brow butchery. Boo to Cartoon Net for destroying their lineup. Put the one about going to the mayor and the Awesome Show – I know about who has their hand in those -on after the Chicken or just add the Critic to go with the sucky King of the Hill and forget about being funny. Just fill dead air time.
