via Variety:

TNT's new ad-men-based dramedy "Trust Me" bowed Monday to 3.4 million viewers -- a perf significantly off from the cabler's other recent series bows.

Some 1.3 million adults 18-49 watched the 10 p.m. premiere. It led out of an original episode of TNT hit "The Closer" that garnered more than 6.4 million total viewers and 1.9 million adults 18-49.

    Trust Me was boring.

  2. I thought it was interesting, and definetly not boring. If it was I would not have watched it. It was something different, which is a good thing.

  3. P.s. I like Eric McCormik but if his character turns out to be gay again then I will not watch it!

I haven’t seen the show, so this isn’t really anything against it, but these numbers make me feel better about Leverage’s chances at renewal since it gets close to those numbers without the great lead-in. Granted, unlike broadcast TV, cable nets really can just cancel everything, so there are no guarantees.

I liked the show. The first one developed the characters well so the show can then build on it from now on. I hate shows where all it has is laugh laugh laugh track.

Remember some of the classic drama shows of the past – they were “slow” in the beginning and then grew the stories and showed howwell written they are.

I liked it I expect it to start out slow since it is a new show it will get better as time goes on. I enjoyed the first episode.

I gotta be honest I was looking from more then this show garnered.

How does Leverage compare to this? I know that their premiere numbers were around five million after The Librarian and are now around three million stand alone on Tuesdays. The Closer always gets higher and I know Saving Grace is usually stronger, but I am really enjoying Leverage and want to know its relative strength in terms of renewal.

Turned it off after first half & am fan of Eric McCormack not Tom Cavanaugh, there’s the other half.
Doubt I give it another chance next week.

Do like “The Closer” & “Raising the Bar”…can’t get into “Leverage”.

I am going to hold my opinion until the next episode. This was just introduced the characters so I will wait to see where it goes.

I enjoyed the first episode. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest! It wasn’t an amazing first impression but the characters seem interesting and I like their careers. A good storyline could definitely build up here. Not AMAZING, but could become an amazing show! I will be watching it from now on :-)

It was a yawn. Traditional “smart drama with smart people” storyline.

I loved The Closer though–didn’t expect the ending.

this show was stupid and boring bring back AMAZING GRACE!!

  14. GRD

I thought of watching it, but didn’t get to it. Too much on Monday nights already.

  15. RJ

Leverage has stabled out around 2.8 million viewers without the help of The Closer to launch it. I expect Trust Me to fall around that level.

  16. I liked the show a lot. A near perfect depiction of advertising today. Nothing against Mad Men, but that world doesn’t exist anymore.

Is anyone out there is thinking about getting into advertising this first episode will give you a good taste of what it’s like to be on the creative side of the business.

  17. Kevin

I’ll give it one more look as it has potential.

I forgot the show was on Monday and I go to school on Monday nights. I just watched the show and I thought it was great. For those who thought it was boring was not watching the same show I was. It is hard when these shows are not on the regular channels. I do not usually watch TNT or the upper channels on my satellite. I did not see it on the listing for this next Monday. I hope it is not cancelled. I really liked this show…..

  19. marcus

I thought it was a great show. I plan on watching it.

According to TravisYanan over at pifeedback, Trust me dropped rather significantly this week to a 1.3/2 in households and only a 0.6 in the demo (down from a 2.3/4 in households and a 1.0 in the demo last week).
