“This Week” Continues To Close Total Viewing Gaps

With “Meet The Press”

 

~CUTS VIEWING GAP WITH “MEET” BY 52%

VS. SAME WEEK LAST YEAR AND 46% YEAR TO DATE

 

 

According to Nielsen Media Research, ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” continues to close the total viewing gaps with “Meet the Press.”  For Sunday, February 1, 2009, “This Week” posted 3.32 million Total Viewers, cutting the total viewing gap (580,000) with NBC’s “Meet the Press” by 52% versus the same week last year. 

 

Averaging 3.58 million Total Viewers year to date, “This Week” cut into “Meet’s” total viewing lead by 46%.  Compared to the same week last year, “This Week” grew 10% in Total Viewers while “Meet” declined 8% with 3.90 million viewers. 

 

George Stephanopoulos is the anchor of “This Week” and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
