Defamer takes 30 Rock to task, for all its product placement, specifically the recent (mc)flurry of iPhones showing up on the show:

No, it's the constant, prominent placement of the iPhone in the last two episodes that's really caught our eye. Every character seems to own one, make calls on one, and constantly show off pictures on one (in lengthy close-ups, no less)-even Jack Donaghy, who we totally figured for a Blackberry Storm man.

There are a bunch more pictures of the 30 Rock iPhone sightings on Defamer.  I think in the near future there will be a blog specifically dedicated to all of the product placement in television shows.  ProductPlacementbytheNumbers.com, sadly, is a heinously long domain name.

The thing that 30 Rock is very good at doing is making these product placements over the top so you definitely notice, but in a way that definitely fits the show.  So far, for the most part, 30 Rock seems uniquely positioned to do that sort of product placement on a week in, week out basis.

But that sort of thing can be worked in just about anywhere. One of the best product placements I've seen was in Supernatural.  While Dean was briefly (although from his perspective it was more like 30 years) away in Hell, Sam had wired up Dean's prized possession, the 1967 Chevrolet Impala so he could play his iPod through the car stereo. When Dean returns he's none too happy about the iPod.   Here's the video clip:
