Ratings Report for ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos"

"THIS WEEK" CONTINUES TO CLOSE TOTAL VIEWING GAP

WITH "MEET THE PRESS"

"THIS WEEK" CUTS VIEWING GAP WITH "MEET" BY 43%

YEAR AND QUARTER TO DATE, AND 31% VS. SAME WEEK LAST YEAR

According to Nielsen Media Research, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" continues to close the total viewing gaps with NBC's "Meet the Press." So far this year, "This Week" is averaging 3.43 million Total Viewers and cutting into "Meet's" total viewing lead (810,000) by 43%. Posting 3.15 million Total Viewers to place second for Sunday, February 15, 2009, "This Week" also closed the total viewing gap (860,000) with "Meet" by 31% versus the same week last year.

Compared to the same week last year, "This Week" is up 5% in Total Viewers while "Meet" is down 6% (4.01 million). Season to date, "This Week" is in second place with an average of 3.38 million Total Viewers, a growth of 22% compared to 2008. First Quarter to date, "This Week" is up 14% with 3.43 million viewers vs. 1Q 2008, while "Meet" is down 4% (4.24 million).

George Stephanopoulos is the anchor of "This Week" and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
