by 17% in Total Viewers, 38% in Adults 18-49 and 40% in Adults 18-34

Among All “JKL” Telecasts, the “JKL” Post-Oscar Special Attracts its Largest Adults 18-49 Audience in 2 Years and Best Adults 18-34 Audience in 3 Years

“Jimmy Kimmel Live – After the Academy Awards” (12:38-1:29 a.m.)  

On its fourth post-Oscar telecast, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards” saw solid increases over the prior year’s telecast, increasing by 16% in Total Viewers (4.3 million vs. 3.7 viewers), by 38% in Adults 18-49 (2.2 million vs. 1.6 million) and by 40% in Adults 18-34 (1.2 million vs. 860,000).  In fact, “JKL” drew its largest ever post-Oscar telecast among Adults 18-34.  The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” special welcomed in-studio guests, two-time Academy Award® winner Mel Gibson and Grammy® Award winner Robin Thicke, as well as host Jimmy Kimmel rescuing Tom Cruise from his burning home.

 

·       Among all “Jimmy Kimmel Live” telecasts, Sunday’s post-Oscar show drew the largest audience among Adults 18-49 in 2 years and largest in Adults 18-34 in 3 years – since 2/25/07 and 2/5/06, respectively.  In fact, it was “JKL’s” third-largest audience overall in Adults 18-34, behind only its two post-Super Bowl telecasts (on 1/26/03 and 2/5/06).
