I know fans are sad that Kyle XY has been cancelled, but ABC has some details on the final episodes via ABC press release:

Burbank, CA (February 23, 2009) - Kyle learns what Cassidy and Latnok's true plans are for Adam's experiment and must stop them at all costs, in "Bringing Down the House," the series finale of "Kyle XY," premiering on ABC Family Monday, March 16 (9:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT).
Kyle gets Cassidy to open up about Latnok's plans for the future of Adam Baylin's experiment. To his horror, Kyle learns that the secret society is going ahead with mass production of more super children like Jessi and himself: Hundreds of pods are ready to grow more babies, and Kyle and Jessi must find a way to put a stop to it. He enlists the help of the Trager family, Declan and Amanda. But with the world thinking Jessi is dead and Kyle trying to keep up with all the lies he has told, will they be able to find the secret test facility in time?
"Kyle XY" stars Matt Dallas, Marguerite MacIntyre, Bruce Thomas, April Matson, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Chris Olivero, Kirsten Prout and Jaimie Alexander.

Only good show on ABC Family is Secret Life.
First as I saw in the internet ABC Family will cancel Kyle XY I couldnt’t believe it. That must be a crude joke. Now I heard that ABC Family anounced the last episodes on screen I am totally shocked that the network cancelled this amazing show. This can’t be! Secret Life is one of the worst shows on TV, easily the worst on the network.
Kyle XY was the bets show they had, then the show lead no where and it’s completely lost with no direction. That’s why the ratings went from 4.5+ million to much less than 2mill.
ABC Family is making a huge mistake. There is still alot of life left in this series. The writing is back to the top notch level it was at during season one. I hope the audience continues to grow as the finale draws near so that ABC Family will take a second look before they let it go.
It is too bad that this show is going off the air. Despite its seemingly over-the-top premise of a “superhero” teen, and the constant menace of hidden conspiracies everywhere — both of which usually make me gag — it was an interesting show to watch. It showed teens and their parents as they really are, dealing with life’s normal situations. Kyle and Jessi both seemed way more interesting than Peter Parker ever did, and he’s the only other super hero I’ve ever even slightly cared for.
This show never preached, yet it never dipped into the cheap “edgy” showboating that hipper shows resort to when trying to seem current. I am not one who’s normally interested in shows about teens, superheros, or crazy corporate conspiracies, so I was very surprised to find myself liking this show.
I am extremely disappointed by the cancellation of Kyle XY, especially when it will be replaced by shows that honestly look like garbage. It’s a shame that ABC is throwing away a unique, creative show because of its success with Secret Life.
I’ve never been impressed by Secret Life. As a teenager in high school myself, the portrayal of all teenagers as naively obsessed with sleeping with each other is highly offensive. The acting is generally poor, the characters are shallow, and the dialogue is cheesy. Personally, I find that Kyle XY provides a more realistic portrayal of teenagers dealing with this issue without sounding preachy and without this topic completely dominating the show.
Kyle XY’s ratings are poorer this season because it’s in the same time slot as Heroes. They attract similar audiences. I personally switch back and forth between them every week, because I just can’t decide between them. And then there’s nothing to watch until Smallville the following Thursday. Why can’t ABC Family use a timeslot other than Monday evenings? They may attract better ratings this way.
I can’t forgive ABC for ditching Pushing Daisies, and now Kyle XY as well. I still hold out hope for Kyle, which was given time to establish a fairly large fanbase, unlike PD. Let’s hope ABC changes their mind.
I have been a fan of Kyle XY since it’s inception. It is truly a bold, engaging type of show. I do agree with one comment that was made. The show is competing with HEROES which is a show I also use to watch, but it started to become too predictable. I have always used my DVR when there were two shows I wanted to watch so I never missed anything that I wanted to see, which included Kyle XY. It is a shame that a show that is actually entertaining is ending but it is what it is. Maybe the Sci Fi channel will pick it up. If not, then Thanks ABC Family for a great show. I also love the show Liberty Heights.
This is the only good show on abc family.
Kyle XY is the best show on ABC Family. I don’t care if Secret Life gets better ratings. Kyle has to compete with Heroes, so enough said! I think it did pretty good rating wise given the circumstances, and the fact that the network didn’t promote the show this year. After a 10 months hiatus, you can’t expect everyone to stick around, especially when the audience has to keep guessing on when the show is coming back. Poor scheduling, lack of promotion, though comptetition, ABC Family killed the show. It’s not the fan’s fault, the network made their decision before the show’s return, I call sabotage on their part. Also, the new direction the channel is taking, not a good one, if they don’t reconsider their decision, they’re gonna regret it. Secret Life won’t last, once the girl gives birth, what else is there to tell?
If they stick to their poor decision, I really hope that another channel will pick up this amazing show. Save the tub!

I still can’t believe it, Kyle XY being dumped, I’m done with abc of any kind, and Disney too. I’m so sad and angry,! I’m 53, and think abc family have made a big mistake on this one !!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the way that ABC Family has handled the cancellation of Kyle XY is a huge public relations mistake. Past the first season, they never really supported or promoted the show. Kyle XY is what made millions of viewers aware that ABC Family even existed. I had never heard of it until I saw an ad for the pilot of Kyle XY. The network president, Mr. Lee, just last year was calling Kyle XY the “tentpole” of their network to which they would build other shows around. They sure tore that “tentpole” down in a hurry when Secret Life came around. They went from a high quality show that appealed to a wide demographic to shows that appeal to a narrow, teenage, demographic with little to no buying power. I do not understand advertisers that support those type of shows. ABCF has alienated millions of viewers with the way they have midhandled the cancellation. All shows must end sometime but to leave the devoted Kyle XY fans with a cliff hanger and no closure is just wrong and will cost ABCF valued viewers. There are NO shows on ABCF that I watch other than Kyle. I will not invest my time in any show on a network that displays such total disregard for it’s viewers/fans.

Secret Life is some of the most banal TV I have seen in quite awhile. The acting by most of the kids is sub-par; however, the actress portraying Ashley probably has a decent future in sitcoms and I think most everyone will agree that it is good to see Molly Ringwald working again. While ABCF is trying to appeal to teen girls, I think they are going to find that it is the PRE-teen that mostly watches Secret Life. The actual teens are probably over at Gossip Girl. Sadly, this plan to capture a women, 13-18 audience, is probably going to fall a bit flat; given the economy in a tailspin and, if Mom and Dad don’t have as much disposable income as usual, neither do Buffy and Sissy. I understand why ABCF doesn’t think Kyle XY fits into the chicklit mix they’ve got going, but I do think it’s somewhat shortsighted to pull their only show that is coloring outside the lines. It does compete with Heroes (although given the ratings on Heroes, I doubt that would be a problem much longer either), but I think the real problem is that they need more airtime to show Bring-it-On-Cheer-a-Thons.

This Jessy person needs to know that Secret Life has nothing on Kyle XY…Secret Life is a knockoff of Juno with bad acting!!!! Kye Xy is original and has a GREAT cast!!!! Its sad that Family is keeping such a lame show such as Secret Life…it may be doing good right now but Kyle XY was doing Great when it first came out too so I hope Secret life goes down in flames and Family brings Kyle back…..There will be nothing good left on Family once they take this show away…what stupid idiots!!!!
ABCF finally had a family show that the whole household could watch… I guess teenage sex, pregnancy, and unrealistic views on how to handle those situations is what they chose to PROMOTE on their FAMILY channel. Lol. For once a clean show that was actually good! Why didn’t they get off their a$$ and promote their show during the odd season. Look at a different time slot. With the economy like it is and all of the crappy stuff going on in the world, I like watching TV to escape for awhile. I don’t wanna watch secret life and remind me of the terrible things that are going on and where my tax dollars are going!
I have been a fan of Kyle XY from the beginning…and honestly do not understand it’s cancellation. I enjoy all the characters..adults and teens and look forward to every episode. I even watch them both times they air each week. While the stories move Kyle’s storyline forward they also develop all the characters and I really like that…getting to know them all and seeing how they interact and help each other and learn from each other…and deal with both good and bad decisions. It also has a moral center…which is something rarely seen anymore on TV and appeals to a much bigger audience than most. Most shows portray anyone with any moral code as naive and out of touch with what is going oninthe owrld today. This one shows it takes real charcter to understand and have a moral code and live by it. Kyle XY sets that example becasue that is the influence on him by the parents in this show…and it sets a good example for everyone..young and old alike. It’s not uncool to have morals and do the right thing. It takes strength and character and guts to do what is right. I also like that neither the adults or the teens are portrayed as stupid or clueless…I like that the parents are professionals who examine their own actions as well as guide the actions of their teens..and who try to set good examples and show that there are such things as accountability, consequences, and morality…while still encouraging them and understanding that they often will have to learn from their own mistakes. They are the parents we all wish we had. I like the dialog too…it’s well written and comes across totally natural…I never think…oh..that character woud never say that…or do that. The writing is true to each induvidual character and that is a huge plus also.
I hope ABCF changes it’s mind..I did not like that they changed the time slot from 8PM mondays to 9 PM Mondays and put this show in competition with Heroes. That was just stupid programming. I was used to watching it at 8PM and hated to have to watch it later as I sometimes forgot about the time change. They had a great following and why they decided to mess with something that worked by changing the time slot..is beyond me. Also during the writers strike they didn;t even run old episodes to keep the show in everyone’s minds…it was so fristrating..to have to go online to find iout anything about it. I would have enjoyed seeing the re-runs until it came back.
If they drop this wonderful, creative show…I hope another network picks it up and continues the story. All the characters are wonderful and the actors do them so well…I would really miss seeing them every week and finding out how the story of Kyle XY continues. I think part of it’s wonderful appeal is the sincerity it conveys in all the chracters…they ring true and real and I care about them all…and that is something I have never experiecned before on a TV show…usually one or two charcaters appeals to me and I watch to see them…however, with this show…I like every character…and want to see what happens next. These characters have depth and we care about them…They will really be missed if this show is cancelled.
This show was the greatest show of this time period with all honesty. Kyle depicted much more than any series of this generation. It showed the troubles families face daily and harsh realizations that people have to face and accept through their life. I rarly express any feelings for anything but i found myself at the verge of tears so many times during this series because it touches people so much in so many ways because of the issues it deals with and how much the people in the show care for each other on screen. They do great acting and work well together.
