The CBS News Program Was Within Its Closest Margin in Viewers to "Meet the Press" Since Nov. 30, 2008
FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER posted double-digit percentage increases in key measures for the Feb. 22 broadcast, beating ABC in viewers and adults 25-54 (and tied in households). The program was up +14% in households (2.5/07 from 2.2/06) and +22% in both viewers (3.64m from 2.97m) and adults 25-54 (1.1/05 from 0.9/04) compared to the same week last year. These numbers mark FACE THE NATION's best delivery in viewers since January 23, 2005 and best performance in both households and adults 25-54 since January 4, 2009.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in households (2.2/06 from 2.0/05), +17% in viewers (3.19m from 2.72m) and +13% in adults 25-54 (0.9/04 from 0.8/04) compared to last season.
On the Sunday, Feb. 22 broadcast, Schieffer interviewed Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, Gov. Jon Corzine (D-N.J.), Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-Ind.) and Gov. Ted Strickland (D-Ohio).
