This is bullshit! Im sick and tired of people canceling the good shows and leaving the trash stay on the tv. Bull Shitting a last show together isn’t right. Writers sit in dark rooms for days months even year to write this work. Finish the first season at least that so you can make money off then box set jerks. People do like this show, it’s just a bad tv slot.

I was a HUGE fan of Lost in the beginning, but it lost me a long time ago. I liked Life on Mars and didn’t know it was cancelled till the last episode. Great cast and I liked the flashback to the 70′s, it was great to see that again. I think ABC should’ve given it more time given the many shows we have to watch on all the cable channels. Too bad.

After reading some comments I guess People are alright with (Life) being canceled, but I’m still a big fan of the Life on Mars’ entertainment and think along with lots of people at work the show really worked and I am sorry for fans it was canceled.

I will never forgive ABC for cancelling my favorite show. Yea, yea, the UK version was better, more raw and less produced, but the US version was good too. My favorite part of all of it being the music and Michael Imperioli. I’m going to miss it terribly. A big F*CK YOU to ABC. Grow a backbone and stand behind the shows that are quality, good ratings or not.

VERY, VERY, VERY sad to hear Life on Mars is cancelled. Wednesday 9pm became my husband and my “at home date night.” This is one of the few shows we both enjoyed. (along with Eli Stone and Dirty, Sexy, Money) Maybe we should like the non-origional/redundant shows like “CSI this and CSI that” and “Law and Order 1,000,000.” I guess thinking outside the box has become unacceptable. Please bring these new and ORIGIONAL shows back!!!!

Im glad they ended it. im a huge fan of this show so im glad they ended it before they started just making episodes for the sake of making them and start making the fans dislike the show

i live in the area near lodi new jersey of where the patrol cars and the 69 rag top gto are stored, so real treat for me to still see them to this day (3/31) out front behind the fence. even got to follow the red and white caddy ambulance and one of the patrol cars through the lincoln tunnel one nite when they brought them back into city (queens) to shoot in january!
i wonder what they might’ve done to sam if he tried to convince somebody of comming attack of wtc? probably send him to the funny farm.
i like the concept of traveling back 30 years. tell myself wher i screwed up, and try it allover again! to bad it was only the best sci-fi since origional star trek! t.v. was fun again for at least a season! i would gladly blow my fifty bucks on a dvd!

I am so upset that abc is taking this show off the air. I cannot believe that tv viewers would watch singing/dancing/bachelor & bachelorette stupid boring pre-made shows rather than a great show with unbelievable actors. This show was truly entertaining and so campy and well written. I got married in 1973 at age 20 so I could not get enough of everything including the clothing, the cars, the music and 1970′s NY City. I will just be going to bed a little earlier on Wednesday nights from now on.

Fantastic show….big mistake. Maybe FX or someone else will pick it up as happened with Scrubs. I heard they were cancelled, and ABC picked them up. Previously I thought it was on NBC.

It’s unfortunate that ABC execs cut a show off without give it a try. Life on Mars was one of the best new shows to come along to ABS since Lost. ABC has very little shows of interest, and now they have lost Life On Mars.

I can’t say that this has come as a surprise. However, I am still disappointed. I absolutely loved the UK LOM. BBC Americas airs some wonderful shows. I was actually glad the US did not try to copy the UK version exactly.

I think this past weeks episode was showing the relationship between Sam and Gene grow…too bad they are going to have to rush it now.

I don’t know why such terrible shows can make it, but quality, innovative programming is canned.

I really feel for the actors..they were doing a great job.

I wonder if we could flood ABC with emails to get them to keep it for at least one more season

I’m so sorry they are canceling “Life on Mars,” and I’m sick of the shows similar to this being taken off, too–Journeyman last year or the year before, Eli Stone, talk about “Medium” maybe in its last year, Pushing Daisies–all right, it wasn’t the greatest but still. I try to pick shows that are given a halfway decent review. I don’t have a lot of time to add new shoes to my viewing schedule. But come on!!

My boyfriend and I were dismayed last night when we watched this week’s episode and saw the preview for the “series finale”. Say it isn’t so! This was such a fun show. I loved when it went into it’s shout out to the cheesy 70s cop dramas I used to watch as a kid. The premise was really cool and I was just developing my opinions about the characters. It’s a shame it didn’t catch on, but I guess it’s the nature of the business.

Im heartbroken they are canceling this show! I love both versions UK and USA and watch ashes to ashes and cannot wait till it continues next month.
Its the first time in years (too many actually!) that I have found a show I love and now they are kicking it to the curb.
I wish there was a way to have it continue like they are in UK anyone know how to get in touch with them? would it help if fans wrote to them even? Im so sad and just keep watching them all just to keep happy to see them.

I am very disgusted at ABC for cancelling this fantastic show. It is a great show and one of the few ABC shows I actually watch. I have been so put off by Grey’s and DH, that in my opinion have jumped the shark. The cast is spectacular and the show is extremely intriguing. It’s a great mix of fantasy, sci-fi, action, historical pop culture, and mystery all in one. If they didn’t spend so much time promoting dying, dull, has been shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate House wives….or on their terrible reality shows….perhaps Life on Mars could have had a chance. I hope ABC wakes up and sees how disappointed the fans are…OR…one of the cable networks picks it up and runs with it. Either way, I am extrememly disappointed.

This is the best show (especially drama) that has debuted on network TV in years! I do not watch a lot of TV and this airs a little on the late side for me, but I always make a point of watching it. I thought it was fabulous – wonderful casting, great characters …. it’s definitely a shame to see it go.

I believe the group responsible for canceling LoM is somewhat akin to
the GOP– if it doesn’t show immediate instant gratification to a focus
group it MUST be worthless….. Morons.

Please, AMC or SciFi– pick this show up before its too late.

I think Steve McPherson, of ABC’s Entertainment Group made a big mistake for allowing Life on Mars to get cancelled. Obviously he doesn’t know what’s best for the fans. Everyone I know that has watched it loves the show.

Life on Mars is a show that not only entertains but, also provides twists and turns with a challenge for intriguing thought on the part of the viewer. The ever evolving thought of time travel and influencing the future for the better has been an item that has brought entertainment to the movie and television viewers for decades. In this series there is an appeal to the baby boomer generation that bring the good things in life, and the bad in some cases, from the past to the forefront of our current day lives. The show also has a way of showing us, even if the outcome is not as we expected, or a rosy as we remember, life goes on and we get through it all.

With the looming world economic crisis and wars that affect the lives of so many, here you have given us a view of how our generation got through what we viewed as our toughest times. With the Star Trek SCI-FI twist, and the passion and emotion of M.A.S.H., you have opened a door to the past for our children to understand the world their parents grew up in. To remove this show from production would truly be a shame.

I love the bbc version; I really liked this version. It’s good that it’s ending: the first one did too…

I’ll miss it, but Ashes to Ashes is completely amazing and I’d love to see the Manhattan version of that, too.

It’s OK to have a story, run with 2 seasons and wrap it to make sense. The best sci-fi runs that way and this is some of the best out there.

The US cast was really American; the bbc cast SO Brit. I have to say Philip Genister is completly awesome. His character in Ashes is almost-gasp-sexy.

I am soo sad that they are taking this show off =/. I look forward to it each week and they hav a great cast =]. I am glad that they are giving it a proper ending though. I think they should have given the series up to a 3rd season and put it on sci fi, that might have helped.

Life on Mars was my favorite new show and wish they were not ending it. I eagerly awaited each episode and would watch it before Lost most weeks. I am glad they are giving the producers a chance to end it as Eli Stone and Dirty Sxy Money just ended with questions not answered. But I think that networks do not give shows a chance to build an audience today. If it is not an immediate hit, they take it off the air and leave fans who are talking about the show to friends feeling empty.

If it comes out on DVD I will definatley buy it. The cast, story line, props, and the music made this show top. ABC cancelling it just tells you that the generation we live in would rather watch s*** than a good show.

I’ve seen both shows and I have to say, the British version is not quite as satisfying as the American version. Harvey Keitel absolutely rocks. Don’t get me wrong, the British version is very good. I’d be happy to have both on DVD in my archive. But for me, the American version is just a hair better. I’m sorry to see it go. I think the way the American version was going that 25 episodes would have been the sweet spot.

God, there are so many bad TV shows on these days and they go and cancel this. Brutal. My wife and I both were really into the show and that’s why I thought it had a chance. It really should get a chance at an earlier time slot. ABC should stand for “Always Be Cancelling”.

Wow….what a shock..didn’t know the show was going to be cancelled. I think it is a good show. I lived through the seventies, albiet young, I felt this show gave me some insights into some things that I was too young to grasp. I can always reference the sci-fi cancellation blunder of “Star-Trek” way back when and know that hasty decisions don’t always yield the best results.

H.Keitel, M.Imperioli, jason O’mara, Gretchen Mol, and the others were a well cast group. I think this team could have taken this show to a higher rating given more time!

What a bummer to my day. This show is the only interesting thing on TV aside from AMC’s Mad Men. I think it suffered from being on so late and on a competing time slot with Top Chef. Does ABC actually watch some of the shows out there and did execs actually watch this one? Very shortsighted move. I have to wonder what drivel (e.g. Ugly Betty) they’ll replace it with.

Maria, the lower HUT at 10 pm is something all 10 pm shows have to deal with. Yet they almost all manage to get more than Life on Mars in the demo.

Here in the west coast San Francisco California I love the show, but I have to tevo it as it comes on too late at night. If the show was in an earlier time slot it would capture a larger audience here. I have told many people about the show, but most responded with “oh, it on too late for me to watch it, but it seams like it would be good.” Audiences seem to love the era of the 70′s, look at the success of the 70′s show. If abc would move the time slot to 9pm they would grab a much larger audience put lost on after Mars lost is established enough to hold on. I am tired of good new shows coming out and not given a chance to succeed. It seems that the most creative shows get canceled or I should say the shows that make people think intelligently get canceled. Its a shame. They should give the show another year in a time-slot suitable for people that have to work every day.

I hate that they are cancelling this show it is great. I heard everyone talk about how much better the UK version is. Watched it don’t get it. Maybe it’s because I watched the US version first, but I think the UK version isn’t half as good as US version.
