The February 27 Friday Night Smackdown! on MyNetworkTV had 3.996 million average Live+SD viewers, the most ever for a MyNet broadcast, a 2.3 household rating, the highest ever for a MyNet broadcast, and a 1.8 1.4 rating for adults 18-49, again, tieing the highest ever for MyNet.
You can always find WWE Raw ratings in our weekly Top Cable Shows list.

Haha….kiss my butt CW! You made a horrible decision…Now, MyNetwork is creaming you.
I second that Jason. It seems like their decision is kicking them in the ass. Smackdown is reaching new heights while their older brother Raw is killing in the cable ratings.
Seems as if wrestling in general is going towards another boom period
Saying that Smackdown is reaching new heights is something of a stretch, this is still below what the show was averaging on CW, its just that the bar is so low on MyNetworkTV it doesn’t matter.
Nowhere did it say SmackDown! reached a new high. They reached a new high FOR THE NETWORK.
Almost every week the ratings beat the record they set previously, so sooner or later they will get back to the levels they were at on CW
Just some clarifications on the MyNetworkTV record book, which I dutifully maintain.
The record for biggest P2+ audience is held by the January 23rd bout of ‘WWE Friday Night Smackdown’, which attracted 4,020,000 P2+ viewers.
All the other sources I’ve seen for Friday night indicate a 1.4 A18-49 rating (not 1.8 as indicated above). That ties the network all-time high, previously set by the December 10th, 2008 broadcast of HOME ALONE.
The household rating of 2.3HH is indeed a new all-time network high, shattering the previous record of 2.2HH held by ‘WWE Smackdown’ and HOME ALONE.
dumont, you
could beare correct, although I took my numbers directly from a MyNet press release. I will double check with them and edit.Update 1: My 1.8 rating for 18-49 was a simple typo. The press release was a 1.4.
Update 2: You are doubly correct, that Jan 23 airing was more. I went to the Nielsen spreadsheet, the MyNet release was wrong.
Maintaining that MyNet recordbook must be a lonely endeavor at times
Yes, it has been lonely work, especially during the telenovella days.
Bill, if you and Robert have a moment, I’d really appreciate seeing your predictions of the upcoming February Sweep (in March). I’ve set up a prediction game over at Mr. Marc Berman’s pifeedback.com website. The link to it is:

Thank you for all your hard work in maintaining this site, and its comprehensive coverage of broadcast and cable ratings. Your Renew/Cancel index has become the definitive measure for series in peril. I would contribute an addendum on MyNetworkTV renew/cancel, however, all their shows are destined for cancellation save for ‘WWE Friday Night Smackdown’ and the ‘My Thursday Night Movie’ franchise.
dumont, thanks very much for the kind words (and thanks as well for the info you post on Pifeedback!). I feel much more comfortable predicting show renewal prospects than I do sweeps outcomes as far as numbers.
relative ranking wise, in terms of viewers, I think the rankings will be identical to last year and in the demo CBS and NBC will flip-flop from the data you provided for last year. It’ll be interesting to see if CBS can hop over ABC, but unless DWTS is way, way down with the new season, I don’t see it.
“Nowhere did it say SmackDown! reached a new high. They reached a new high FOR THE NETWORK.”
Actually Kryptonite very clearly said ‘Smackdown is reaching new heights…’
Alex, it wasn’t a new high for the network either. As dumont noted the Jan 23 broadcast on MyNet had more.
