Nick, I can correct your typo-lisp if you like. Dirty Sexy J is missed!

Neps, I'm not sure if you called us anything, but even if you did, I'm sure I have been called worse, both online and offline. I am going to shut the comments down on this post now. (Holly, I didn't mean shut off all comments on all posts, but ~130 here will hopefully tide people over until at least next Wednesday).

I was trying to keep quiet while my name got dragged through the mud, but this is just getting silly. Ghost - I don't know what your problem is (but with your IMDB reference, I think I know who you are) but I never attacked the good folks behind the site the way you keep doing towards me. Its completely rude, unprofessional and uncalled for. If you honestly think they had taken offense to anything I've said then you haven't been on the internet very long - I'm sure others have been called them worse.

You're bordering on slander with your accusations and lies. I have never once lied about ratings - I give proper credit to TVByTheNumbers, Zap2It and pifeedback.com on a consistent basis. The only thing I've done is put emphasis on the Millions of Viewers vs the ratings/share system since common people never understand ratings.

Prove me wrong Ghost. You talk and you talk - but you've never proved one thing you state. You talk about maturity, that's laughable.

Things aren't as black and white with SciFi programming - it never is - and specially one that has an established (all be it passionate) fanbase. Look at Sliders, Baywatch, Viper (not including stargate since that was 5 yrs in) - all series moved their main network and thrived on another. 1% isn't as rare as you think.

I think it's time for the comments here to be shut down.

"No wonder Knight Rider sucked and epically failed if the only people who actually liked it were trolling fanboys like them. I bet if you stamped a box of dog crap with the KR logo that neps and his boys would sit and stare at it for weeks on end, lol"

@Ghost Your really “impressed” at the maturity of the Knight Rider Online people, yet you choose to make a statement like that?

hmmmm, but who trolls the trolls then?

Can, we please just stop this? Is it possible to have discourse without rudeness or bashing? The answer might be no, but I'm about ready to turn the comments on these posts off! :(

seriously ghost, stop. stop saying "everybody." it's not everybody.

again, NBC ran no promos. the only promos that were seen as 'series finale' was aired on E! canada, which series/season verbage has different meaning up there. we won't know for sure until NBC puts out their fall schedule.

Actually NBC did put out the word that Knight Rider was cancelled, they called the last episode the series finale in promos that they ran for over the course of the four days leading up to the airing of the show.

And I'm really "impressed" at the maturity of the Knight Rider Online people who've been coming on here, lol, what with them calling everybody "retards" and their leader making juvenile attacks on our site, trying to say the data posted here is "popcorn fodder".

No wonder Knight Rider sucked and epically failed if the only people who actually liked it were trolling fanboys like them. I bet if you stamped a box of dog crap with the KR logo that neps and his boys would sit and stare at it for weeks on end, lol.

In all seriousness, what show could topple Idol?

None, Everybody and their dog watches it.

Knight Rider has been stable, even gaining viewers since the retool. NBC really hasn't done jack all advertising for it so from that perspective, its done well considering.

Internets full of Knight Rider's been cancelled speculation which at this moment in time is just that, "speculation" plain & simple. Plenty of people have also come around, people who were originally not convinced were starting to dig its new direction.

First KR is Not canceled. NBC would have put the word out near the end of the show, or at the most the website. NBC would not keep KR's fans in the dark if the show was canceled.

I have viewed this site lots of times. Some Information is incorrect.

6.10!!!!!!!!! OMG WE HAVE A CONTENDER TO TOPPLE AMERICAN IDOL, SOUND THE ALARM...........

Oh and the week before that the show pulled in under 5 million. Not exactly something to write home about.

TV is a what have you done for me lately. Hence, why nobody is talking about how Heroes was pulling over 8 million and a 3.9 5 weeks ago but how its now below 7 and cant get a 3.5 in the demo.

The simple fact is, the show aired its series finale. Maybe if it was someone critically acclaimed like FNL they would try and save it. But in no way are they going to try and save this crap.

how can anyone really lie about ratings, everyone know the show hasn't been able to pull over 6 million viewers for months and at the weakest hour of the week probably. That's simply pathetic.

Oh and Kitt if you have a problem with us "retards", go run along.

Long live Knight Rider. I hate those bashing retards in this site. Neps is great man! Why would he lie to fans about ratings when anyone could check it by themselves on other websites? He's a good man. Can't wait for a second season!

@Blogger, while I can't verify for certain that Nick C is legit, I can say with a great deal of certainty anything he's stated as fact or data has proved to be true. Quite often, he states opinions I don't agree with, but in this case, I agree with him.

He has KR as canceled and he says an exec at NBC told him that. I have no reason not to believe him. He gives an OPINION that KR has a very, very SLIM chance (1%) that Universal could somehow keep producing it based on international audience. So basically NBC is done with the show and the show has almost no chance for survival. There's not much for me to disagree with there, either based on data, or opinion.

Blogger, I think it's dead. It's dead at NBC and soon will be dead elsewhere too unless Universal really wants to do syndication.

I put chances of survival at about 1%.

I asked Angela today: "IS KR canceled?" The answer?

YES.

Does GST know? YES. Is Universal holding the actors to their contracts? YES.

Universal has yet to cancel the show, NBC has. The difference is that Universal may believe they have syndication abilities or other outlets. Supposedly the show has some strong international numbers that would justify an alternative route of production. It's just not going to be on NBC.

I agree with Neps and Solid Snake. It makes no sense to hold actors to their contracts if there isn’t any possibility of the shows return. NBC is holding out to see how much of a stir this canceled not canceled debate will cause. It’s called viral marketing. If it’s huge and gets them a lot of press they might just keep Knight Rider around. So I must thank you then Ghost for your help in keeping Knight Rider in the limelight.

KRO declared war against this site, and neps a "big-shot" there, like your mascot or whatever. Also he made a juvenile attack against tvbythenumbers. Can't twist your way out of that one, nope.

And I'm not "claiming" anything about Gary Scott Thompson, I read he's gone back to working on Las Vegas in the Chicago Tribune. I believe zap2it.com mirrored the Tribune's article in Korbi Ghosh's column. That article was also brought up in KRO discussion thread recently. Really, lol, it seems I know your site better then you guys do.

Now stop attacking tvbythenumbers and quit waging way on us.

Ghost, no offence, seriously... trying to bash a person because he validly says there is no confirmation from the horses mouth (or one of its feeders) about KR being cancelled is just plain stupid. There was no attack at all in any of the posts other than your own.

Besides, NBC went on record saying Heroes would come back (with less episodes), true... But when asked if KR was not going to be renewed they did not state anything, this only means it is not a done deal... why withhold statement a statement for a show which just aired its last episode? If they had made up their mind they would have said something... like it is shelved, or it won't be back. Again the episode aired... there is no point in saying nothing as there is nothing to be silent about... the show is done for the season, that would have been a time to say that it won't come back and yet they did not. I am not saying its all one happy family and it will be back, but all I want to say is that I don't think all is done yet.

I for one would salute a renewal!

Thanks for the attention.

neps soiled his own good name when he came on here and attacked tvbythenumbers. That showed everybody what a rude person he was, completely ruining all his credibility. You can't twist out of that. Knight Rider got axed and your leader made a personal attack on tvbythenumbers, then declared war on us. Nope, nobody from KRO is worth listening to, that much is certain.

They were heavily discussed in a variety of forums, like IMDB and on NBC.com's forums themseleves. I was on KRO yesterday and one of the KRO posters there named Nelson B said he saw the series finale promo. Sorry, but you aren't going to twist the argument around to whether or not the promo actually exists, it was on and I saw it, and so did thousands of other people.

You cannot deny that NBC themselves said the last episode was the series finale.

Are you guys all from KRO? I wouldn't be surprised since KRO states it's declared war against tvbythenumbers, lol. Isn't that neps guy your leader? He just made a juvenile attack against this site in this very thread, lol, his credibility is shot all to hell now, like he ever had some anyway. And I read on IMDB that KRO was caught lying about KR08's ratings in an effort to make the show seem more successful.

No, KRO is obviously a corrupt website and it has zero credibility here on tvbythenumbers or anywhere else on the internet.

you seem to be the only one in the world that seen NBC promos. even the thousands of people that frequent knight rider online, SOMEONE would have said, "Hey I saw a promo on NBC that said it was a 'series finale.'" but no one has.

I saw the promo three times leading up to the Wednesday night's final show, NBC themselves called it the series finale. I don't care what you "claim" to have seen, I know what I saw. And this site states the show was cancelled, and tvguide.com stated the show was cancelled, and zap2it.com, and the Chicago Tribune, and the LA Times, and several other legitimate sources have also stated the show got axed.

You can live in denial if you like, but quit trying to push that lie on other people. It's never going to work on me or the rest of tvbythenumbers. And talking to the cast and crew is meaningless, the show has been completely out of production since December, how would they know anything, they've all moved on to new projects or are looking for work, like Gary Scott Thompson who is trying to restart Las Vegas now.

No, KR is long dead and good riddance, the show was awful.

Proof Ghost - or it didn't happen. I live in NYC and on show days I have NBC tuned in all day to argue the point that they don't advertise. I DVR the NBC promos and fast forward through the shows looking for a promos. Stop contributing to the anonymous bs thats going around - you must be TV Guides source as well?

All due respect to this site, I'm not looking for a press release. If a respectable outlet like THR or Variety say its dead, then fine. But TVGuide and Spoiler TV are tabloids and rely on anonymous submission - you shouldn't build your house on that. Both Variety and the NY Times today had articles on Wednesdays numbers and talked about how Knight Rider increased viewership. Don't you think that if they were canceled, thats a more meaty story to run with?

We have direct contact to the cast/crew and have spoken with several of them who say they don't know either way and even the cast can't look for work because they are locked into a multi-year contract. Now I'm not saying someone in NBC exec land isn't drafting the memo - but it's not official yet.

neps, you insulted this site, you can't talk your way out of that.

I saw the final promos on NBC myself and they said series finale, not season. It wasn't any Canadian channel it was NBC itself, they themselves called it the series finale that on their own network feed. The show is cancelled and loads of media outlets are reporting it.

Knight rider online, NBC refused to respond when TV Guide announced Knight Rider was cancelled. Look at how NBC denied reports that Heroes might be cancelled. Knight Rider is gone.

@ghost - I think you're taking this a little too seriously. I appreciate the guys here, and they seem to appreciate harmless ribbing. It's all good debate, not an attack and I'm pretty sure Robert and Bill think that way too. They use "series finale" to poke at us the way I used "popcorn fodder" to poke at them. No harm, no foul.

Beyond that, I've heard E! Canada called it a 'series' finale, but their terminology is different there. NBC - the mother ship - is calling it a season finale and never advertised it as anything. Look at NBC.com right now - in the left column it says watch the season finale.

If you're saying otherwise, you're just spreading unsubstantiated rumors.
