The Thursday season finale of  MTV's Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew averaged over 3 million viewers and scored its highest rated telecast of the season among 12-34 year olds (2.3 million viewers).  It was also a great season with women 18-24, where the ratings surpassed season two's by 67%

Recently, ABDC has been MTV's most solid performer, eclipsing the MTV staple that is The Real World, and also doing better than The Hills' spinoff, The City.   The Hills returns for its fifth season on March 30th.

  1. Hot Pocket

Best reality show or reality competition on TV. Its been the only thing to really watch on MTV and Beatfreakz rule. Those girls are so hot!

ITA Hot Pocket– This is really the only reality television show I watch and definitely the only MTV show I watch consistently. This season was fantastic and they really had good dance crews. Sooo disappointed that Beatfreakz didn’t win. I’ll be back next season for some more ABDC!!

What happened to MTV? This use to be a solid network loaded with hit shows and now they have one good show. For me it wasn’t the best season nor the best finale, but it still stood head and shoulders above most of the shows on that network.

In the group challenges only the QuestCrew, Dynamic Edition, and Strikers All Stars team performed at finale level. The other two teams were messy, uninspired, and gave underwhelming performances. Didn’t you admire how the QuestCrew, Dynamic Edition, Strikers team incorporated group specific dance technique throughout the entire performance. And the synchronicity transitioning from one set to another flowed so smoothly from the stepping of the Strikers to the BBoying style of QC to the clogging of DE. As my kids would say, it was off the chain!

Still, we’re anxiously awaiting the startup of Dancing With The Stars. If you want to see some dancers blow the roof off the building, wait until the ballroom pros on DWTS perform their opener. You want skills, precision, difficulty, and entertainment wrapped up in a tight package they will give it to you. And the performances that they are able to draw out of the star partners are truly inspirational and nothing short of magnificent. You watch one show and you’ll be like millions of families, watching it together and waiting for tour tickets to come to a city near you. Honestly, there’s never been a show before that I can say we watch, my parents watch, and my brothers, sisters, and their families watch- sometimes together.
