Robert or Bill, do either of you see the weekly numbers for ‘Legend of the Seeker’ as part of your weekly syndicated ratings report.
I’d be interested in seeing their weekly numbers reported.
Thank you.
I haven’t looked for a while, but once it fell out of the top 25, I’d sometimes see TV Week report on its numbers, but I’m not sure I’ve seen even that since late 2008.
dumont: but that could be because I mixed up Broadcasting & Cable and TV Week reports! B&C has some info:
Weekly action hour Disney/ABC’s Legend of the Seeker was up 6% to 1.8. The off-cable Storm Stories fell 19% to a 1.3, and the off-TBS strip House of Payne fell 11% to a 2.4.

dumont, we only see the top 25 syndicated shows, not the long list we see of broadcast and cable shows. I can search the top 20 we publish weekly very easily and Legend of the Seeker has appeared just once in that top 20 list.

It may have appeared in the 21-25 spots, but searching those individual spreadsheets week by week isn’t easily done.
Thank you both for the ratings information on ‘Legend of the Seeker’.
Seems like House of Payne does better in SYN than on Cable. That’s interesting.
after months of searching for complete neilsen ratings that once were available in websites such as LA times to get a sense of a favorite show’s likelihood of renewal, i stumbled upon this website. my thanks to mr. gorman and you all.
i understand “seeker” has been renewed for a second seaon despite the apparently subpar ratings reported by B&C. i hope i do not offend anyone by saying that i think the show is as well made as any of it’s syndicated fantasy predecessors, from Hercules to Lost World. Are the numbers comparable to those, if anyone remembers?
billtoo, welcome aboard. Our data doesn’t go back nearly that far to Hercules or Lost World. A quick check of their wikipedia pages revealed no ratings data there either, sadly.
why does csi ny gets better numbers than the other csis while it does much worse on broadcast?
confused, that’s an interesting question. My guess (that I really have nothing to back it up with) is that it could be that its earlier in the syndication cycle than the other CSI’s so its syndicated shows are relatively more attractive.
