Weekly National Ratings:
· On Monday (3/2/09), on the night of the most-shocking finale of “The Bachelor” ever and when Jimmy Kimmel welcomed Jason Mesnick for his first interview, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” scored its largest late-night audience ever (3.18 million). “JKL” also turned in the show’s best-ever deliveries among Women 18-49 (949,000) and Women 25-54 (1.12 million).
· “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” Monday telecast outperformed the debut of NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” by wide margins in Total Viewers (3.18 million vs. 2.87 million, +11%), Women 18-49 (949,000 vs. 716,000, +33%) and Women 25-54 (1.12 million vs. 709,000, +58%).
· In addition, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” topped CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman,” with heavily promoted musical guest U2, on Monday among Adults 18-34 (524,000 vs 445,000, +18%) and across all key Women demographics: W18-34 (337,000 vs. 180,000, +87%), W18-49 (949,000 vs. 656,000, +45%) and W25-54 (1.12 million vs. 871,000, +28%).
· For the week, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” bested CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” by 8% in Total Viewers (2.02 million vs. 1.88 million) and by 10% in Adults 18-49 (855,000 vs. 779,000), beating the CBS program in the key young adult sales demo for the 3rd consecutive week.
