ABC had nine out of the top ten most viewed television series for the month of February according to Nielsen VideoCensus. ABC's online video player is regularly derided as having one of the worst (if not the worst) video players on the Internet. The quality of the video is fine (outstanding, actually) but there are a slew of other issues with the player. No matter, as obviously people will suffer through that in order to get the content they want.
Lost was number on with 2.5 million unique viewers, up 41% over January. Lost also ranked number one in total streams with 48 million, up 20% from January. Dancing with the Stars (1.5 million unique viewers), Grey's Anatomy (1.3 million unique viewers), The Bachelor (962,000 unique viewers), Brothers & Sisters (801,000 unique viewers), Desperate Housewives (793,000 unique viewers) and Scrubs (655,000 unique viewers) followed Lost, ranking 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th, respectively.
[edit] It's worth noting that Nielsen Videocensus does not currently measure Hulu (it does measure NBC.com though) so in terms or rankings there is a big slice that is not covered.

wow, lost is a monster on the net, video sales, dvr, etc.
The fact that it doesn’t measure Hulu is proof enough that this means nothing other than Lost continues to be popular in whatever venue it’s presented in.
Justin, I completely agree.
abc had 9/10 what was the other show
wow lost is way popular
ABC has the worst player? I think with the new full screen player is great. CBS has a great player….FOX and NBC are the worst for me.
I would be very, very interested to see how this list changed if Hulu was thrown into the mix. Any guess as to why Nielsen doesn’t include them? I mean, the site *is* officially endorsed by NBC and FOX, after all.
ABC had 9 of the top ten shows. I wonder what other network had a top ten show and what was the show.
Heather, the short version is Hulu doesn’t participate in Nielsen Video Census so Nielsen CAN’T measure it since it doesn’t have any way to track the information.
I went to watch Lost on Hulu the other day and it directed me to the abc website when i clicked on the episode. I don’t know that they show lost episodes on there. I believe they are all directed back to the abe website for that show.
The one show in the top 10 that wasn’t ABC’s was NBC’s Saturday Night Live and that’s just from NBC.com (doesn’t include Hulu).
Christen, Hulu just put out a list of most searched for shows that aren’t on Hulu and LOST was at the top of it.
The full list for anyone who is interested:
Lost
South Park
Gossip Girl
NCIS
CSI
Dexter
Smallville
Star Trek
Weeds
Entourage
ABC’s player is the worst? Really? Personally I find it to have to best quality, the HD is outstanding and the video almost never stops. Fox is good too, and I’ve never tried CBS. But NBC and Hulu are really bad for me, they take forever to load and freeze all the time. Especially Hulu, it’s horrible.
I’ve only recently been able to get ABC’s player to agree to work at all for me. And it still won’t run in Firefox.
I have no problems with ABC’s or NBC’s (which are the 2 i use the most). Hulu’s is pretty hit or miss for me. CBS’s player sucks for me. I’ve only used FOX’s player once, have only missed one episode of Fringe, so I can’t really judge yet. I use Firefox. I don’t know, could be my connection.
Don’t be a hater…ABC’s player works great for me too…maybe its your computer. I don’t watch any current shows on hulu…only old stuff I can’t find other places like On Day at Time and Partridge Family
has the CW got an online player?
Yes and theirs is the worst, not ABC’s!
ABC Rocks!
I’m surprised by the ABC web player love, because that is by far the worst player for me, and hulu is just fantastic.
