I’m not really sure what to do with future requests, so I’ll probably stick with it for a while and see what happens. Right now, there’s not as much interest in these types of posts as there are, with say overnight ratings — and this sort of thing takes more time to produce. I’m not sure if it’s possible to build much audience interest in these sorts of posts on our site, but we’ll see how it goes.

Did you ever expect an actor or actress of any of these shows to be interested in an interview since this is a place that dissects ratings (and usually not to the liking of many in that biz, I’d imagine)?

In sports media, it’s not only expected of athletes to conduct these types of interviews, but it’s not much of a surprise to know that some of them are interested in the analytics of their performances (good or bad). It appears (at least to me) that the fans’ discussions of ratings and other Nielsen stats is still relatively new and not necessarily accommodating to actors and actresses.

Of course, I could be completely wrong.

The ones that stay around town may get continuing storylines, and it wouldn’t surprise me if one of the senior graduating players is kept on as an assistant coach.

I’d read at broadcastingcable.com a few weeks back that the first three seasons of ‘Friday Night Lights’ is one of the series being considered for MyNetworkTV’s new programming distribution services model. If the show gets a 4th/5th season pick-up, the re-running of those first 50 episodes would help to promote and build interest in the new seasons on DirecTV and NBC.

Cowboys Fan, nope, I didn’t. But at least I can say that the first actress I ever interviewed played a stripper on TV!
