  1. cool

so NBC is one week early.. yes, because the “infront” worked so well last fall.

  2. the128boy

Cool, lol yes it did. And this time one week in advance is still enough to be considered infront? Perhaps they did that in order to not look like they were ditching “infront” and avoid looking foolish (too late!). Whaddya bet next year they are back to the same week as everybody else?

  3. Heather

Oh, God, I don’t know if I can’t wait ’til May 5 to find out about Chuck!

  4. Alex

I have to admit that I think the CBS upfront is going to be much more interesting than anyone else’s, purely because with everyone else its relatively easy to see where the holes in the schedule are but when you look at CBS its hard to really see where they’re going to put any new shows they pick up. So far the only show that looks like it absolutely isn’t coming back is the Unit and even that isn’t doing horrible numbers.

  5. the128boy

alex, the nets could do anything at upfronts, its true, but i think cbs will have the fewest new shows, the fewest surprises, and the schedule that changes the least. but, as always, we shall see.

  6. Yeah, CBS seems rather boring. The fact that the other nets have so many problems means there’s the potential that they may come up with something new and surprising. (Probably won’t but we can always hope.) With CBS the only surprising thing will be what show they will cancel that any other net would love to have.

  7. Alex

At this point what CBS keeps and what they get rid of is much more interesting to me than what new shows any of the other networks pick up.

  8. Kevin

Chuck will not be canceled, it’s going to be a mid-season show next year. They know it has an okay fanbase, and critics love it. They’ll bring in it to replace whatever Monday show is failing, or if the lineup does well for NBC (roll on floor laughing) they’ll burn off the episodes in a Friday or some other dead slot.

This is just me talking out of my ass, but if I were a betting man I’d put my money on this.

  9. Jim

I vote to keep Chuck. It rocks. Love the Unit too!

  10. Dave

I think that the CBS upfront may be ‘boring’ in the fact that they may not introduce many new shows, but I think that it is going to be one of the most interesting because there are so many unknown factors with shows like Old Christine, Gary Unmarried, The Unit, Rules of Engagement and the new shows that they want to introduce…

I think it’s going to be the most fascinating upfront of the networks.

  11. T

what about showtime ? i’m curious as to wheather or not they’ll pick up
    “The Farm”

  12. Ant

So in May we will learn the fate of Reaper due to its short season?

  13. NBC need to move Chuck and Heroes away from Mondays. Dancing with the Stars, CBS sitcoms, and FOX’s House and 24 are doing well and NBC has been the odd one out.

  14. bubba

well they caceled kath and kim. everybody happy……..

  15. bubba, where’d you see that? It was inevitable, but I haven’t seen an announcement anywhere.

  16. T, Showtime doesn’t have advertisers, so they have no reason for an upfront.

  17. Ant

Just FYI, Chuck fans, including myself haha, Angela Bromstad stated in an article, albeit it a few months ago that she loves Chuck. LOVES. Strong word to use so it means she is a fan.

Ms. Bromstad also offered a vote of confidence in second-year dramedy “Chuck,” which is also on the bubble for a third season.

“I love ‘Chuck,’” she said. “I think it’s a very fun show. It’s going to face a lot of competition in the spring. (But) it’s a show we’ll be looking at when we make our decisions this spring.”

  18. Heather

Aw, thanks, Ant, that was good to read. Though I’m guessing she still loves money and success more. Maybe she’ll discover that even though those last two things are no where to be found at NBC, but she can at least have Chuck. :p

  19. Ant

Yeah it made me feel better Heather as she acknowledges the tough competition it faces.

Hopefully and presumably this can only be good for Chuck and Chuck fans as she will let her heart influence her head by gving Chuck a new lease on a Tuesday or Wednesday

  20. Sadie

I definitely feel better after readng that article Ant posted. Not since Arrested Development have I so desperately wanted a show to be renewed. I really love Chuck…I don’t think it makes a difference, but when I’m surfing the internet I always go to Nbc.com and stream the latest episode with the sound down just so it’ll count as being watched another time lol
