Yes, 2004-2005 was the big offensive against reality TV. It's fun to watch them all spending like drunken sailors to catch lightning in a bottle again. I think they forget that 2004 had a lot of goodwill - admittedly a subjective idea, but hear me out: Sopranos and Six Feet Under were still hot on HBO, and so was Sex in the City. Friends, Will and Grace and Frasier were still on. I recall TV Guide's lavish PR campaigns that season, which must have hit their bottom line, since now theyre a tabloid nobody reads. 2004 looked like spring - ahh, it was really just Indian Summer.

ABC was smart to put Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice together. They both seem to be doing very well in the demo.

No freshman shows on the list this week. And what... 4 shows in the last 4 years? So 16 spots are occupied by shows 5 years old or older? 2004-2005 was a big season.

Grey's is doing great in the demos, I wonder if it can increase both its 18-49 and total viewers next season.
