The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be held one week later than usual, on Sunday, March 7, 2010, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Wednesday. The move was made to avoid conflicts with the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver on Feb. 28.

Actually its moved two weeks later because 28th Feb would mean 1 week. Usually its like the 21st of Feb but this time its the 7th of March.

Thanks julia. I guess that means february sweeps won’t suck for them next year.

Zee, it’s usually held the last Sunday in February. Feb 21, 2010 would only be the third Sunday, so Feb. 28, 2010 would have been its normal air date.

I think Angelina Jolie will finally win the Best Actress next year!
