Brooke Shields finally accepts that Lipstick Jungle is canceled
We’ve known Lipstick Jungle was canceled for some time, but like many fans, Brooke wasn’t going to be satisfied until she heard something specifically and definitively from the network. And by specifically and definitively I mean the words “yes, the show is canceled” because for some people, having the show moved to the Friday night wasteland to burn episodes off and NOT ordering production of any new episodes is just not enough! But Ms. Shields heard the words and has now, finally (thank goodness!), given up the ghost.
When it comes to the numbers, whether the stock market or TV ratings, hope is usually just a four letter word.
From E Online:
Ding, dong, Lipstick Jungle‘s dead. For real this time. Brooke Shields says so herself.
Although rumors of the NBC show’s demise started swirling in December, Brooke told E!’s Kristin Dos Santos that there was still hope at the time. Well, not anymore.
“It was going to stay and we just were officially told it’s finally not coming back,” she said at the Latisse launch party last night. “It’s very sad. I think a lot of people were really sad, but I think we hung on a really long time. It was three great years that we’ve been working on it.”
