Disney Channel is TV’s No. 1 Network in Total Day in Target Tweens 9-14

Special Agent Oso” is the No. 2 Show of the Week in Kids 2-5 Target Demo

Disney Channel stood at the top of the charts on a Total Day basis, standing as TV’s No. 1 network in Tweens 9-14 (440,000/1.8 rating).  In Prime, Disney Channel marked its 209th straight week at No. 1 in Kids 6-11 (914,000/3.7 rating) and its 205th in Tweens 9-14 (719,000/ 2.9 rating).

  • Among Kids 6-11, “Sonny with a Chance” (970,000/4.0 rating) stood as the week’s No. 1 cable series. Overall, Disney Channel held 5 of the Top 10 cable series for the week in Kids 6-11, including “Suite Life on Deck” (No. 5 – 850,000/3.5 rating), “Hannah Montana” (No. 6 – 818,000/3.3 rating), “Wizards of Waverly Place” (No. 8 – 797,000/3.3 rating) and “Phineas and Ferb” (No. 10 – 720,000/2.9 rating).

  • Among Tweens 9-14, “Sonny with a Chance” (819,000/3.4 rating) also qualified as the week’s No. 1 cable series. Overall, Disney Channel had 6 of the Top 10 cable series among Tweens 9-14, including “Suite Life on Deck” (No. 2 – 770,000/3.2 rating), “Wizards of Waverly Place” (No. 4 – 715,000/2.9 rating), “Hannah Montana” (No. 6 – 667,000/2.7 rating), “Hannah Montana – Late Night” (No. 8 – 626,000/2.6 rating) and “Suite Life of Zack & Cody-Late Night” (No. 9 – 620,000/2.5 rating).

“Special Agent Oso” (Saturday 4/4/09, 8:00-8:30 a.m.)

The premiere of “Special Agent Oso” stood as Playhouse Disney’s highest rated premiere in Kids 2-5 (770,000/4.7 rating) and Total Viewers (2.2 million) in nearly 2 years – since 5/12/07 with “My Friends Tigger & Pooh.”

  • Special Agent Oso” delivered impressive double-digit gains over year-ago time period numbers (4/05/08), increasing by 45% in Kids 2-5 (770,000 vs. 531,000). In Total Viewers, the debut improved the half-hour by 47% (2.2 million vs. 1.5 million).
  • For the week, Playhouse Disney’s newest series, “Special Agent Oso,” ranked as the No. 2 (tied in rating) series among Kids 2-5 (778,000/5.7 rating). “Mickey Mouse Clubhouseranked in the Top 10 among all TV shows in Kids 2-5 (No. 6 – 711,000/4.4 rating).
  • The online premiere of “Special Agent Oso: Never Say No Brushing Again/The Girl with the Golden Book” episode became the #1 Playhouse Disney episode ever in terms of total starts online.
  • The Special Agent Oso site was the #1 supersite on PlayhouseDisney.com over launch weekend in average daily unique visitors and page views.
