The Hills return last night performed solidly for MTV.  While down from its heyday, it’s definitely much more popular than The Hills’ spin-off, The City.

Back-to-back episodes last night at 10pm averaged 2.97 million viewers.   Listed out as separate telecasts, the 10:30pm airing was the #1 program on cable with 12-34 year olds and the 10pm airing was #3 in that demo (based on coverage ratings)

The Hills ranked #1 between 10p-11p for all TV viewing with females 18-24 and females 12-34.

It was the strongest 12-34 age demo performance on a Monday in a year according to MTV.
