CBS Program in the Key Young Adult Demo for the 3rd Consecutive Sweeps Period
March Sweep 2009 (3/05 - 4/01/09):
During the atypical Digital TV Transition-adjusted February/March Sweep, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was up over the February 2008 Sweep in Total Viewers (1.69 million vs. 1.65 million) and Adults 18-49 (738,000 vs. 727,000). "JKL" marked the 3rd time in the last 4 February Sweeps periods to register increases over the previous February. In addition, the February/March 2009 Sweep represented the 2nd Sweeps period in a row that "JKL" saw growth in both Nielsen measures.
- Competitively, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" outperformed CBS's "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" among Adults 18-49 (738,000 vs. 717,000). In fact, it was the 3rd consecutive sweeps period that "JKL" bettered the CBS late-night program among young adults.
