Its like a bad version of the office...with Poheler hamming it up to the camera that makes more of a parody from SNL than an actual show. Nothing about paid city workers sluffing off is going to sit well with viewers in this economy. The premiere ratings for Southland were ok, but the fact that they really didn't have any competition in the hour has to worry the higher ups about it's future potential. I'll definitely keep watching unless the plot becomes uninteresting. For me this is really one of the first shows im watching on cbs in a few years... If i watch TV at all, i typically leave abc on for Thursday nights. Will also be interesting to see how ugly betty fares after its break. I can see it pulling in like numbers or really falling due to the time off air. Given how competitive 8pm has become on all the major networks and a new comedy to compete with. Harpers island has my interested perked, the first death was incredibly lame, the first half hour didn’t do much to correct it but the second half of the show got better.
