Disney Channel

For the second week running, Disney Channel delivered TV’s No. 1 position in Total Day in Tweens 9-14 (491,000/2.0 rating), generating the net’s largest audience in the daypart in 7 weeks – since the week of 2/16/09 – increasing by a solid 11% week to week (440,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel registered its 210th straight week as cable’s No. 1 network in Kids 6-11 (847,000/3.5 rating) and its 206th in Tweens 9-14 (706,000/2.9 rating).

  • Among Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel aired 3 of cable’s Top 4 series with “Sonny with a Chance” (No. 2 – 1.1 million/4.3 rating), “Wizards of Waverly Place” (No. 3 – 1.0 million/4.2 rating) and “Hannah Montana” (No. 4 – 818,000/3.3 rating).

  • Among Kids 6-11, Disney Channel was home to 2 of the Top 3 cable series with “Wizards of Waverly Place” (No. 2 – 1.2 million/4.8 rating) and “Sonny with a Chance” (No. 3 – 1.0 million/4.3 rating), and 3 of the Top 5 with “Hannah Montana” (No. 5 – 984,000/4.0 rating).

“Special Agent Oso” (Monday-Saturday, 4/6/09-4/11/09, 8:00-8:30 a.m.)

On the heels of its solid series launch last week, Playhouse Disney’s most-watched premiere in nearly 2 years in key demos, latest hit series “Special Agent Osodelivered impressive ratings during its week-long programming event in target preschoolers 2-5, ranking as TV’s No. 1 show in its time slot and posting solid double-digit percent gains over year-ago levels.

  • A standout hit during its week-long programming event, “Special Agent Oso” qualified as TV’s No. 1 program in its time slot in Kids 2-5 (637,000/3.9 rating), surpassing runner-up Nickelodeon by a strong 20% (530,000/3.2 rating).
  • Special Agent Oso” posted significant double-digit percent increases over year-ago time period numbers (4/07-4/12/08, 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.), climbing by 23% in Total Viewers (1.6 million vs. 1.3 million) and by 17% in Kids 2-5 (637,000 vs. 546,000).
