To me it is just the same as John Walsh from America’s Most Wanted who lost his child. It is sad and a horrific crime. But Beth Holloway just like John Walsh will make millions from this and it is kind of creepy, yes.

I don’t understand how this movie set a record when nearly all the Nora Roberts telemovies drew more viewers? Didn’t Northern Lights draw 4.5 million viewers on its first night airing? Are they considered different from this movie?

Jimmy, Northern Lights aired on Lifetime while this movie aired Lifetime Movie Network. Hope this clears it up!

Does anyone know the ratings for ABC Family’s Movie “My Fake Fiance”?

The Nora Roberts movie were on Lifetime Television. This one was on Lifetime Movie Network. They’re actually 2 different channels (both owned by Lifetime Entertainment Services).
Lifetime Movie Network is the “little sister” of Lifetime Television.

  8. Now you know why network ratings keep going lower and lower every year. The competiton is fierce.

  10. Whether or not the Halloways were paid big money for this movie should not be a factor. The bravery of Natalee’s mother is something we should all take heed too. If this were my daughter, I would want her story and mine to be told. Looking at the number of viewers proves that this story touched the lives of many. To date, from what I understand, there have been no arrests made in her disappearance or murder, but with the story ( movie ) out there, there could be someone that may be able to come forth with new information. Nobody can say the movie didn’t in some way touch their life and maybe, just maybe, it touched someone that knows more about what happened to Natalee and has the courage to come forward. I don’t believe for one minute her Mother had this movie made to make money. C’mon, look at what she is doing with Congress in order to perhaps stop this from happening to another young woman out there. I give her Mother credit to have to even relive the horror she has gone through just to get a message to all those young women who could put themselves in harms way and not even realize it. Give the a break..stop adding to their pain…

I think Beth is a brave woman for fighting like she did for her daughter. She is just trying to make her point “that it can happen to ANYONE” I would do the same for my childern as she did for her daughter. People need to stop bashing her and stand her shoes before they talk. I liked the movie and it really made me think of how many times I have been in danger by not paying attention. It is an eye opener. Good Job Beth!!!!! You are a wonderful woman who loved you daughter. She is a proud daughter smiling down on you.
