Sit Down, Shut up probably wishes the ratings had stayed delayed forever. Though final numbers for Sunday are available, this is still the preliminary fast national data so the 18-34 data could be included too.
You can see overnight reports for past Sundays to compare.

Shows are sorted by 18-49 rating in each time slot.
Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2009 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

This is the year when networks need to pick up each other’s trash b/c there’s going to be a lot of undeserving cancellations due to the smaller TV audience now in days.
The Unit is the one show that I know CBS will cancel but it would be a perfect fit on NBC or FOX especially FOX with 24 which can be a pairing there.
Maybe The CW will look at Chuck b/c I know Chuck will easily become the network’s top rated show.
None of the scripted dramas really get over 20 million viewers anymore, do they. Sad. Still great ratings for Desperate housewives though.
Poor Desperate Housewives, I know it won the night but it’s ratings are going down and down
Ouch, I wonder if Sit Down, Shut Up will be yanked.
I wonder if 13-16 million viewers is the new 23-26 million viewers for scripted dramas. CSI got around 16 million for their latest episode.
With all those stupid reality shows around, that’s probably the new trend.
But doesn’t NCIS have more viewers than CSI these days?
That’s a good number for cold case. The 2.9 is higher than its season average of 2.6 and right at CBS’s season average.
The Unit bumped to a 2.4…..that’s good, right? Any hope?
Hope Sit down shut up can hang in there!!
scott, DH got a 4.5/11 and 13 million viewers. How are those bad numbers?
seriously, that beats EVERY show on NBC & CW
That’s pretty good for Cold Case isn’t it?
is that the real ratings for family guy and the simpsons? wow, they’re getting close!!!!nice….long, live the simpsons!!!!!!fuck family guy!!!!!!!!
In 2008-09 season, any drama which gets 12 million+, or even 10 million+ is great ratings, in my opinion. With reality shows, DVR and fierce competitions from cable, this kind of ratings is very good.
Is that a new low for DH at 4.4? Pearl Jam sure helped CC.
Not surprised SDSU did so poorly – it’s a godawful show which somehow manages to get worse by the week.
And interesting to note that The Apprentice beat Brothers & Sisters for the 2nd week in a row — B&S has gotten pretty zzzZzzzZzzZZZZz-worthy lately, and just imagine how hard the show would tank without its generous DH lead-in…
There has got to be something wrong with Housewives…it’s maintained its viewership this year and yet its 18-49 is half a point worse than last week?
The ratings were pretty low for a Sunday Night.
I don’t understand why people MUST use offensive language on a public site; there are other ways/words which can be used to express yourself.
Brothers and Sisters has been trending down. In the 80′s a show like this would pull in 20 million viewers a week.
chuck
Yeah sure 13 million is good for Desperate Housewives now but it had 18 million viewers watching at the start of this years season and now 21 episodes down the line it has 13 million… I’m just worried thats all
.
NBC must be really pleased with themselves, fourth place yet again.
