"MEET THE PRESS WITH DAVID GREGORY" IS THE NO. 1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM FOR THE WEEK ENDING SUNDAY, MAY 10, 2009 

THE NBC PROGRAM DOMINATES IN WASHINGTON D.C. – TOPPING CBS BY 98%, ABC BY 178% AND FOX NEWS BY 312% 

NEW YORK – May 14, 2009 –"Meet the Press with David Gregory" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs program for the week ending May 10 according to Nielsen Media Research data. The Gregory-moderated broadcast was No. 1, delivering 2.971 million total viewers, +9% more (+235,000) than second place CBS "Face the Nation's" 2.736 million, a +13% advantage (+352,000) over third place ABC "This Week's" 2.619 million and a +125% lead (+1,649,000) over FOX News Sunday's 1.322 million. The NBC program has now placed first in total viewers for 396 of the past 399 weeks (when everyone is at full coverage). 

In Washington, D.C., "Meet the Press" dominated the competition with 103,000 viewers (3.8/12 HH), a +98% lead over CBS' 52,000 (1.8/6 HH), a +178% advantage over ABC's 37,000 (1.4/4), and +312% lead over FOX's 25,000 viewers (0.9/3). 

In homes nationally, the NBC program was No. 1, posting a 2.2 rating and 7 share. CBS and ABC tied with a 1.9 rating and 6 share and FOX was last with a 0.9 rating and 3 share. "Meet the Press" has now placed first in households for 134 consecutive weeks and 494 of the past 495 weeks (when everyone is at full coverage). 

Among adults 25-54, "Meet the Press" was top rated with 0.8 rating. CBS and ABC tied with a 0.6 rating and FOX was fourth with a 0.4. In rating A25-54, "Meet the Press" topped CBS and ABC by +33% (+2 tenths) and FOX by +100% (+4 tenths). 

Season-to-date, "Meet the Press" is up in homes (+3%), total viewers (+8%), and rating W/A25-54 (+20%/+9%) versus the same period last season. 

On its digital platforms, "Meet the Press" generated more than 259,000 online video streams from May 10 through May 14, 2009. Traffic to www.mtp.msnbc.com was at more than 671,000 page views for that same time period. The "Meet the Press" video podcast (available at www.mtp.msnbc.com) remains the top ranked network Sunday Morning program podcast on iTunes.
