“FACE THE NATION” BEATS ABC FOR THE 3rd TIME IN 4 WEEKS
The CBS News Broadcast Was Also Up +12% in Households on May 10, and Season-to-Date is Up Double-Digit Percentages in All Key Measures Compared to Last Year
For the 17th consecutive week, FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER cut the gap with NBC – by an impressive 1,554,000 viewers on May 10. In addition, over the last four weeks, the average gap between NBC and CBS has shrunk from -1.44 million to only -470,000.
FACE THE NATION also beat ABC for the third time in four weeks to become the second most-watched Sunday morning public affairs program, and was also second (tied with ABC) in both households and adults 25-54. Compared to the same week last year, FACE THE NATION was up +12% in households (1.9/06 from 1.7/05) and +16% in viewers (2.74m from 2.35m).
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in households (2.2/06 from 2.0/05), +15% in viewers (3.11m from 2.70m) and +13% in adults 25-54 (0.9/04 from 0.8/04) compared to last year. FACE THE NATION is also tied (with ABC) as the #2 Sunday morning public affairs program among adults 25-54, season-to-date.
