Sources confirm that not only has FOX officially passed on renewing Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it's even dead as far as Warner Brothers is concerned and they are no longer shopping it to other networks.
While this is hardly a surprise and some web sites have been reporting this cancellation for literally months now, given FOX's surprise (to us and pretty much everyone but Joss Whedon's Biggest Fan) renewal of Dollhouse on Friday, some might have still been hopeful.
I'm sure the fandoms will be in a tizzy over this, especially with the Dollhouse renewal, but it is what it is. By the way, the notion from some of the fans that we were ever out to get TSCC or Dollhouse, or any other show (OK, Bill might have it in for CW's Privileged, but that's another story) was always ludicrous. We thought it would be canceled, and it was, but we thought Dollhouse would be canceled and it wasn't. And we're not at all unhappy Dollhouse will be back. Confused perhaps, but not unhappy. We'd have been thrilled if TSCC pulled off the miracle too. But it didn't.

I’ve been sanguine about this since the series finale, but then I saw JWEggers trailer and let my hopes rise. And now they’re once again dashed against the rocks of dismal ratings! Stupid people who don’t watch good TV!
These guys keep hijacking CHUCK and DOLLHOUSE threads and they get their own to bitch about how stupid FOX is or how stupid Friedman is/was, and they’re no where to be found.

Wow, I hope everyone’s as sympathetic when a show *you* enjoy is cancelled. For the record, I’m happy about CHUCK and DOLLHOUSE, but I enjoyed T:SCC and wish it had been renewed also.

MockingbirdGirl, I didn’t mean it as an afront to any fan of the show. However here they get a thread all to themselves to bitch about whose fault it was. That is all I’m saying. That or plan some amazing Save Our Show campaign.
I know what they should do: Let Warner know that they’ll all go and see TERMINATOR 4 on Friday to show their support for the franchise. When TERMINATOR 4 makes money it’s because of them!
Just make sure they send in their ticket receipts!

Not really a surprise.
TSCC HAD its second chance, which Dollhouse is now getting. The show tanked and despite quite a few entertaining moments, there is no sense (business or otherwise) to keep it around.
IMO, it did go out with a bang though. I thoroughly enjoyed the finale.
I am pretty sure Dollhouse renewal was a huge surprise to most Whedon fans..maybe a bigger surprise than to others.
