“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is Up Week to Week in Viewers and Adults 18-49, Drawing its Largest Overall Audience Since March
“JKL’s” Friday Telecast Attracts its Second-Largest Adults 18-49 Audience
of the Season – the Biggest Young Adult Audience of the Night in 2 Years
“JKL” Tops CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” and NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Friday among Adults 18-34 and Men 18-49
Weekly National Ratings:
· Friday’s (5/15/09) telecast of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where Detroit-area auto workers filled the audience for an exclusive talk and late-night performance by Eminem, as well as Mike Tyson, drew 2.03 million Total Viewers and 1.07 million in Adults 18-49. “JKL” attracted its largest Adults 18-49 audience on any night in over 2 months (since 3/2/09, when “The Bachelor,” Jason Mesnick, was the guest) and the show’s second-largest young adult audience overall of the 2008-09 TV season. Further, it was “JKL’s” largest Adults 18-49 Friday audience in over 2 years – since 3/16/07.
· Competitively on Friday, “JKL,” among Adults 18-34 (429,000) and Men 18-49 (467,000), topped CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” (422,000 and 455,000, respectively) and NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (411,000 and 457,000, respectively).
