"By Design" marked SUNDAY MORNING's first HD broadcast. Anchored by Charles Osgood from the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, the program featured a tour of some of the most unique homes around the country - from the first Frank Lloyd Wright home ever built in California, to exotically designed houseboats along the Pacific Northwest, to Museum of Modern Art curator Klaus Biesenbach's small Manhattan apartment, a tribute to minimalism. The broadcast also featured a profile of designer Tommy Hilfiger and a report about how today's retirees are redesigning their "golden years."
