Spelling Bee champ can spell “Laodicean” but like everyone else, struggles with “Krzyzewski”

Kavya Shivashankar who won the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee is an excellent speller and a very poised young woman. But like most people in the United States, can’t spell Duke men’s basketball coach Mike “Coach K” Kryzewski’s last name correctly simply based on its pronunciation.
