From a Nielsen counting perspective, if someone starts watching American Idol and immediately hits "pause" and then starts watching 20 minutes later to bypass commercials they would still get counted as a DVR viewer. A lot of people would have to do that to sync up better w/TiVo. but it would not surprise me if some huge number of Idol viewers with DVRs watch Idol that way, without ever setting up a series pass.
