RATINGS ROAR FOR CBS SPORTS’ COVERAGE OF PGA TOUR’S “MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT” FINAL ROUND WITH 100% INCREASE

CBS Sports’ final-round coverage of the PGA TOUR’s MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT, which saw Tiger Woods become the first four-time winner by storming back on the final day to wipe out a four-shot deficit to beat Jim Furyk by one stroke, on Sunday, June 7 (2:30-6:00 PM, ET) scored an overnight household rating/share of 3.6/9, up +100% from last year’s 1.8/4 in the metered markets.

Sunday’s 3.6/9 tied with 2005 as the highest rating for the final round of the MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT since 2004 (4.2/9; Ernie Els won, Tiger Woods in third).

CBS Sports’ third-round coverage of the MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT on Saturday, June 6 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) earned an overnight household rating/share of 1.9/5, up +36% from last year’s third round 1.4/3 in the metered markets.

Saturday’s 1.9/5 was the highest-rated third round for this event since 2006 (2.0/5).
