We're hoping our regular DVR data flow resumes soon, but until then, just another nugget of adults 18-49 DVR viewing data. Here are the Top 10 shows ranked by their DVR viewing in the adults 18-49 demo for the week of May 11-17, 2009.

The Thursday season finale of Grey's Anatomy just edged out Tuesday's American Idol to become the most DVR viewed show of the week for adults 18-49. Once again, Wednesday's "results" Idol was far less DVR viewed than the Tuesday "competition" episode both in rating increase and in % viewing by DVR.

Interesting that the season finale of Biggest Loser, which was #4 on the week for 18-49 Live+SD viewing doesn't appear in the the top 10 most DVR'd shows. Presumably the results of weight loss are best viewed live. Again, 24 is heavily DVR'd, appearing at #9, when it's not even in the top 20 for 18-49 Live+SD viewing.

    Grey’s Anatomy finale was at 10 pm it was 2 separate episodes the finale aired starting around 955pm or earlier i believe

  2. I’m still hoping we get to see the DVR numbers for the weeks between April 20 and May 10.

  3. I watch Survivor: Tocantins, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost and Desperate Housewives.

    I stopped watching American Idol few months ago because the contestants doesn’t have a big personality.

    This chart is a little confusing than the ones with more details. So, LOST averaged about 9.4 million Viewers (LIVE+SD) and a 4.4 Demo for the season finale. So, what is the total number of viewers watching the show including LIVE+SD+7Day? So, add 3 million to the LIVE numbers? I forgot what was the live number?

    LIVE+SD=9.4 million(average), peaking at 9.6 million during the course of the night
    LIVE+SD+7DAY=?
    LIVE=?

    Thank you.

  5. BG, first there is no Live+SD+7Day. Technically, it’s just the live numbers (which don’t get posted usually other than in the DVR posts) and a week’s worth of DVR viewing, including same day DVR viewing.

    Unfortunately, as noted by Bill, we didn’t get the level of data detail for that week’s live+7 data, so we posted the little data we had, which was the 18-49 numbers above.
