My best wishes go out to Patrick Swayze. (I wonder if his health had any factor, or if 1.3 mil is very low for A&E?)
Drew, based on last week’s numbers, 1.3 million would have been slightly above the A&E prime-time average, but my guess is that a show with Patrick Swayze carried both higher costs and higher expectations.
I agree with Bill, they just thought it would do better, I doubt his health plays any real role because PS himself said he was ready whenever for a season 2.
The show unfortunately, was unwatchable.
I wonder how many people have actually seen it just to see whether PS has lost to cancer already or not.
Yeah The Beast was shown here in the UK too and I couldn’t even manage to sit through one episode, the show stank.
The Beast wasn’t very good but A&E had better luck with The Cleaner which rated a lot better and kept most of its audience. Not sure how it will do against Saving Grace when it returns next week.
A&E Network has a lot of scripted shows in development, the Jerry Bruckheimer pilot Cooler Kings seems likely to be picked up as does the Kevin Costner Western miniseries.
Isn’t this old news? I could have sworn you or another site reported this being cancelled over a week ago.
