Meet The Press Delivers 3.1 Million Viewers

"MEET THE PRESS WITH DAVID GREGORY" IS THE NO. 1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM FOR THE WEEK ENDING SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2009

NBC TOPS CBS BY 17%, ABC BY 33%, and FOX BY 199%
NEW YORK – June 18, 2009 –"Meet the Press with David Gregory" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs program in all categories for the week ending June 14, 2009, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The Gregory-moderated broadcast was No. 1, delivering 3.099 million total viewers, +17% more (+457,000) than second place CBS "Face the Nation's" 2.642 million, a +33% advantage (+769,000) over third place ABC "This Week's" 2.330 million and a +199% lead (+2,064,000) over FOX News Sunday's 1.035 million. The NBC program has now placed first in total viewers for 400 of the past 403 weeks (when everyone is at full coverage).

In homes nationally, the NBC program placed first with a 2.2 rating and 7 share. CBS and ABC tied with a 1.7 rating and 5 share and FOX placed fourth with a 0.8 and a 2 share. "Meet the Press" has now placed first in households for 138 consecutive weeks and 498 of the past 499 weeks (when everyone is at full coverage).

Among adults 25-54, "Meet the Press" posted a 0.9 rating. CBS had a 0.7, ABC posted a 0.6, and FOX had a 0.3 rating. "Meet the Press" topped "Face The Nation" by +29% (+2 tenths), "This Week" by +50% (+3 tenth), and "FOX News Sunday" by +200% (+6 tenths).

Season-to-date, "Meet the Press" is up in total viewers (+2%), and rating W/A25-54 (+10%/+9%) versus the same period last season.

Last week's show featured an exclusive interview with Vice President of the United States Joe Biden. The roundtable included Republican strategist Mike Murphy and host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and former U.S. Representative (R-FL) Joe Scarborough.

Please note: June 14 was the first Sunday following the DTV switch.
