Boasting its best Total Day delivery in Tweens 9-14 in 1 year (623,000/2.6 rating - since week of 6/16/08), and home to the week’s Top 2 TV telecasts, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network for the 6th consecutive week, and for the 11th time in the previous 12 weeks.  In Kids 6-11 (3.0 rating), Disney Channel tied Nickelodeon for TV’s No. 1 post in Total Day this week.

Impressively, this week qualified as the channel’s most-watched week in Total Day in Total Viewers (1.879 million) and Kids 6-11 (727,000) in nearly 2 years - - since week of 8/20/07.

In Prime, Disney Channel stood as cable’s No. 2 network in Total Viewers (2.5 million) for the third straight week running, while delivering its 220th consecutive win in Kids 6-11 (1.0 million/4.3 rating), and 216th in Tweens 9-14 (818,000/3.4 rating).

  • In Tweens 9-14, fronted by back-to-back airings of “The Suite Life on Deck” on Thursday in the 5 o’clock hour (1.4 million/5.7 rating and 1.3 million/5.5 rating, respectively), Disney Channel was home to TV’s Top 2 telecasts for the week, 4 of the Top 5, and 7 of the Top 10 overall.
  • Sunday’s all-new “JONAS” (8:30 – 9:00 p.m.) was TV’s dominant No. 1 program in its time period in Kids 6-11 (1.3 million/5.4 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.1 million/4.5 rating), towering over runner-up Nickelodeon (“Mr. Troop Mom” encore) by an impressive 80% in both key kid demos (723,000 and 610,000, respectively).  In Total Viewers, “JONAS” was cable’s No. 1 scripted show in the half hour, surpassing Nickelodeon by 20% (3.0 million vs. 2.5 million).
