Univision the #1 Network in the Country in Overall Prime
On Three Nights of the Week among All Adults 18-34
NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 06/15/09
• Regardless of language, Univision captured the #1 network ranking on Tuesday (1.1 million), Thursday (1.2 million) and Friday (1.2 million) night among
all Adults 18-34. Additionally, Univision was the #1 primetime network on Friday night among Adults 18-49 (2.1 million).
• Univision was the #2 network in the country in overall prime among all Adults 18-34 (951,000) and Teens 12-17 (176,000), beating ABC, CBS, NBC, and CW.
• Among Adults 18-49, Univision (1.7 million) was the #4 primetime network for the week, beating ABC and CW. Additionally, Univisionranked #1 among
Kids 2-11 (391,000) and #5 among all Persons 2+ (3.3 million) and Households (1.9 million).
• Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX every night last week among Adults 18-34 and on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and Teens 12-17.
• Univision had 9 of the Top 20 Programs, more than any other network, among Adults 18-34 and 4 of the Top 20 Shows among Adults 18-49.
• Univision’s “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) was the #1 Primetime Program on 3 out 5 nights among A18-34 and on 2 nights among
Adults 18-49.
• Among Adults 18-34, Univision’s Monday through Friday prime programs were among the Top 3 shows each night.
• Season-to-Date, Univision is experiencing year-to-year audience growth of +2% in prime time among all Adults 18-49 while the English-language
broadcast networks are reporting declines: ABC (-6%), NBC (-3%), FOX (-17%) and CW (-20%).
• Monday through Friday, Univision was the #1 network in the 8pm (1.1 million), 9pm (1.4 million) and 10pm (959,000) hour among Adults 18-34, thanks to
“Cuidado Con El Angel” (Don’t Mess with the Angel), “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) and the 10pm checker-board programming,
respectively.
• Among Adults 18-49, Univision’s “Cuidado Con El Angel” (Don’t Mess with the Angel) and “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) helped
the network rank #2 in their respective hour, beating ABC, CBS, NBC, and CW.
• Last week’s episode of “Mujeres Asesinas” (Killer Women) helped the network rank #1 in the Thursday 10pm to 11p hour among Adults 18-34 (1.1
million), out-delivering its closest competitor CBS by 72%.
• Univision was the #4 broadcast network on Saturday night thanks to “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) among Adults 18-34 (482,000) and Kids 2-11
(200,000).
• On Sunday night, Univision was the #4 network of the night among Adults 18-34 (428,000), beating ABC, CW and Telemundo.
