I thought Y&R ratings would go down with all the controversy but i guess all that buzz is paying off. Aw well. Days of our Lives is the one to watch; B&B beware!!

OMG! the poor ABC soaps. i think they are better than the CBS soaps. And wow ATWT reaches a new low every week.

  3. Shem

It shows that B&B benefits alot from it’s lead-in; with the preemption on Tuesday, Y&R time slot only had 2.5 mil and B&B only gained 400k. With the good Y&R lead in it gets well over 3 mil. B&B’s success is dependent on the continued success of the Young and the Restless. As for ATWT and GL, I heard a rumor that the sponsors deliberately want the shows to fail because they are getting out of the soap industry.

The writers are trying to go with a new younger generatation and wiewers don’t want it why not give all the great actors you already have a story line and let the kids be just that kids.
Ethen is not and never will be another Luke, so if AG is getting ready to Leave then bring Genie Francis back and let them ride off into the sunset and let Ethan and Rebecca ride off in another direction.
GH is getting worse as it goes along. The writers can not face the facts that the viewers want Jason and Liz together.
And last PLEASE no more babies for Sonny it’s getting to be a joke…..

AMC has gone too far in pushing the envelope. The mainstream audience is not ready for same sex bedroom scenes. Anytime a soap goes too far with sexually charged scenes, heterosexual or gay, there will eventually be a drop off of viewers. Channels will change in lunchrooms, workplaces, doctors offices and homes with children or multi-generational viewers due to discomfort encountered in group viewing. They need to choose who they are writing for. ..a portion of the viewing audience and critics, or the mainstream audience. If it is the former rather than the latter, then a network change may be in order. Perhaps Bravo would be a good venue. As for now I will not be tuning in. I’m afraid I will have to throw out the baby with the bath water. Better than adequate writing, directing and acting are not enough for me to sit through these daytime inappropriate storylines.

Passions did scenes like that- look where they ended up…
